Great place and a friendly host

Nice and fancy studio with unusually many small things that made a stay even more convenient (like whole variety of spices, cotton buds, or sanitary pads). Climbing a bed was not a problem and the bed itself was very comfy. Very nice host who welcomed us with a homemade tiramisu. Convenient location

This apartment is perfectly located between the Dampoort train station and the city centre, with stops for the important bus lines just around the corner. With over 20 years of experience in booking studios for short stays, I must say that this one has the best kitchen I've ever seen. Also, the most basic foodstuffs (oil, dressings, species, coffee) are made available by the hosts, so you don't spend a lot of money to buy things you cannot take with you when you leave. There is a fabulous fat black cat named Raul. I adore cats; unfortunately, Raul didn't like me at all.

First and before all, there is the bed that is placed on stilts two meters above floor level. I've been in many places where there is a kind of small mezzanine to sleep, but there is always a floor beside the bed. Here, you have to find the ladder to climb down. If you miss it, you break a leg. This is evidently very dangerous after a night of good Belgian beer tasting, but it also makes this studio unaccessible for people with reduced mobility. Second, there is a strange arrangement of the place. The shower is in the kitchen. The door to the studio is semi-transparent. Your private bath is across the entrance hall, so it's not as private as you may wish. The place is adorned with old posters, many of them really nice and interesting. However, I didn't like the early 20'th century poster of male anatomy, I think it's bad taste. The calendar with pictures of "handsome" catholic priests is even more doubtful in view of the recent revelations in Flanders to this respect. The host cares a lot about his visitors. After booking, he directly connects with you through Whatsapp and sends you regular updates. He regularly checks on your well-being during your stay. Many people will like this, but I felt I was permanently stalked upon.

Pleasant stay in a beautifully renovated apartment in a prime location with thoughtful and kind hosts.

This property had a beautiful ambiance and was decorated with thoughtful and funky pieces. The location being 200m from the train station was fantastic. The kitchen facility was sensational and the terrace outside was wonderful to lay out in the sun. Tom and Jurgen were wonderful hosts who cared about how our stay was going, and gave us delicious welcoming treats.

I loved all the super hospitable extra little touches! The property is in a very convenient location with free parking provided. It has everything you need and more facility/amenity wise & the bed is extremely comfortable. The hosts are certain to make you feel welcome and comfortable, and Netflix was the cherry on the top!

Je voelt je al bijna deel van het gezin bij Tom en jurgen thuis, zo huiselijk was het!

Het waren voor mij de kleine dingen waar aan werd gedacht. Het toiletpapier was mooi opgeplooid met een stempeltje erop en hij had zelfgemaakte cafe, confituur en sausjes in de frigo gezet. Alles was aanwezig: haardroger, shampoo, douchegel, waterkoker, sodastream, smoothiemaker, koffiemachine, muziekbox... Er lag zelf een Ipod waar heel veel restaurants van Gent (en met hun eigen reviews erbij) in de contacten stonden. Om maar te zeggen dat echt aan ALLES gedacht was! Tom en Jurgen waren heel gastvrij, altijd klaar voor een babbeltje en af en toe eens een berichtje om te checken hoe mijn verblijf tot dan toe ging. Zeker een aanrader!! :-)

de matras was voor mij persoonlijk een klein beetje te hard, maar dit is persoonlijk natuurlijk. De ene houdt van een hardere matras, de andere van een zachtere. Al bij al was mijn nachtrust wel goed! Verkeerslawaai was lichtjes hoorbaar maar viel mee! Ik sliep met oordoppen dus kan ook moeilijk beoordelen ;-)

Voor mij was het geen probleem maar je slaapt in een tweepersoonsbed op 2m hoogte, je moet dus wel mobiel zijn.

een heel fijn thuis in het centrum van Gent

de communicatie is perfect en tijdig, de ruimte is gezellig en beter dan de fotos doen vermoeden, de faciliteiten van de keuken zijn erg goed, alles is werkelijk aanwezig om goed te kunnen koken, alles is schoon en aan alles is gedacht - wij komen hier zeker terug
