Quiet warm place, with everything you might need

This place is great! The hosts are so polite and ready to help with anything. The place is warm, clean, comfortable and has the most stunning view. The kitchen is great and well equipped for anything you might need. We cooked two times and had nothing missing. The balcony is so cute. Plenty of comfort and storage space for your clothes and other things. The location although a bit on a hill is accessible by car, and is really nice and quiet, perfect for some shuteye. Also it’s next to a hotel where you can get some food, drinks and spa. This listing gets my warmest recommendation.

The shower drain definitely needs some work unclogging. It fills up the cabin and it can leak on the floor around the bathroom. Although there are mops so you can easily wipe it. Also would be nice if a shelf in the shower itself is present so you don’t have to reach for the sink all the time for your shower gel and/or shampoo. No curtains on the windows, so have that in mind if you’re sensitive to light when sleeping.

Cute apartment

The apartment is gorgeous. It has such a nice and calming view. Its on great location with parking and easy access and you have everything you need,even netflix and dolce gusto coffee machine which was amazing. Its great for recharging batteries and resting.

The only down side was that there are no blinds or curtains on the windows, sun is hitting directly on the bed and its waking you up early. Just a tip to change this in future because its not that big of a deal but considering that people are coming in Mavrovo to rest this can make a difference. And maybe 2 glasses for wine since there was only one.

Great place for a short stay. We wish we could have stayed longer.

The apartment was small but worked well. It was wonderfully quiet and had a great view over the town and lake.

We had a wonderful time in Mavrovo. The view was amazing, and great for morning coffee on the balcony. The apartment was very clean, nicely decorated and very well equipped. There’s even a Dolce gusto coffee maker, high baby chair, dishwasher and it is a one of the best equipped apartments we've ever been at. The host is very helpful and communicative. We will be back for sure.

Clean, quiet, comfy apartment in an apartment building

A few things to note while reading my review: 1. This is my first visit to Macedonia for leisure 2. I waited to finish my trip, so that I can compare the 3 places I stayed in 3. The personal touch is really important to me The apartment as it is on the pictures. Do keep in mind that it’s rather in the higher part of Mavrovo village, near the ski area, far from the lake. I thought it would be in a smaller house but it’s part of a very big appartment building which was generally empty, so it felt a bit creepy in summer. The owner, Daniela, kept in constant touch over Viber but we didn’t see her at all. And the checks felt a bit too controlling – are you in the appartment, are you out of the appartment because it has to be cleaned. Also, what was strange is that there were clear instructions to take out our own trash, which happens to me for the first time ever staying somewhere. It was too much “self-service” and “self-reliance” which you would expect from a huge hotel, but not from someone holding and offering an appartment. Luckily, the cleaning lady Nika was around when we arrived. She was very friendly and helped us with suggestions for food and things to do in the area. So thank you, Nika, for the personal touch! As a comparison, our hosts/appartment owners in Ohrid welcomed us from the car, showed us around the appartments, gave recommendations what to do, where to eat, offered us coffee and home-made cookies. It’s the little things that count. A side comment – do go and eat at Glamour / Suzanna – delicious local food, great welcoming host!

See above - lacking personal attitude from owner. And overall - I have to say that for me the rating is not realistic. 7 or 8, but not 9+.
