Attractive and atmospheric old building in the heart of the attractive town of Bergues

Lovely attractive and characterful converted school buildling with tall ceilings, large windows, tastefully decorated and refurbished. The town of Bergues is lovely and the apartment was well-located to walk into town, visit the market, walk by the river, go to the local restaurant etc. We were just there for one night on our way from Calais to Holland/Germany and would definitely return. Friendly and helpful host who met us to provide the keys. It is well-placed for those arriving in Calais or Dunkirk. Free parking on site.

Pretty Village

The fact that it was self contained and everything was there that we needed to eat, drink and sleep. Robin was lovely and told/showed us what we needed to know. The local area is so pretty and people very friendly. There is a Carrefour about 10 minutes away. We stopped for a drink in Le Paddock and was made to feel welcome. The car park is located at the back of the property in a safe gated courtyard.

It's not really something we didn't like but think it would be good if the property had a smart television to access streaming channels.

A perfect place to stay in Bergues city center.

Perfect accommodation, beautiful, comfy, well-furnished and quiet. the owners chose the high quality for all items available in this apartment: beds, kitchen equipment's, household linen.... Located in a great spot, in Bergues city center, close to all facilities and main sightseeing's (by foot!) Safe and private parking lot Pet friendly - with a great closed yard.

an excellent gite in a great central location. we loved Bergues

Beautifully presented and immaculately clean. Eric welcomed us with a comprehensive briefing on the gite and the town of Bergues and then left us alone to enjoy ourselves.

Ok for one night!

Good location, brilliant host who met us to provide keys and gave lots of good advice about where to visit and how to get to places. Very informative and polite.

It was slightly smaller than imagined - ok for one night. The beds could have been more comfy - not a good nights sleep had.

Great stopping off or long weekend

The welcome from Eric was wonderful. After a long drive from the UK, he arrived within 5 minutes of us calling him. He told us all about Bergues - restaurants, shops and tourist sights. Eric speaks English perfectly and that helps a weary traveller. The property was modern, comfortable with pods of coffee in abundance and complimentary local apple juice or beer. The car was close by in a secure private car park.

Lovely apartment in an interesting town

Excellent location near the town centre, very well equipped kitchen and the host generously provided biscuits and beer. The apartment is tastefully decorated and very warm. Eric was very helpful with advice about things to do and see. Highly recommended.

Elegant, very attractive apartment, very welcoming and helpful hosts. Very good value for money.

Elegant, period grand townhouse with some character features. Newly decorated 1 bedroom grand floor apartment with comfortable and very easy to use and fold away sofa-bed in living room. Modern, stylishly and very attractively decorated inside, well lit and with high ceilings. Well equipped kitchen. Easy on site parking. Very short walk to Boulangerie and town supermarket. Excellent value for standard of accommodation.

Séjour très agréable dans un super logement .

Il est toujours très agréable de loger à Bergues chez Laurence , Eric et Robin car tout est impeccable : literie, équipements, décorations et propreté . Les hôtes sont très sympathiques et toujours présents dès que l’on fait appel à eux. Une petite attention nous attend comme toujours dans le réfrigérateur 🙂.

Idéal pour visiter Bergues et ses alentours.

Très bon accueil du propriétaire. L'appartement ''Côté cour'' est un logement très agréable et calme situé dans une ancienne école. Idéale pour 2 à 3 personnes, appartement offrant du confort, du volume et très bien équipé : à noter également une très bonne literie. Vue coté cour où vous pourrez également stationner en toute sécurité (parking clos) et gratuitement. Je recommande pour un séjour à Bergues.
