B&B ATTICO GALLIERA

I've stayed here before, so I knew what I was getting, which is a lovely, modern apartment located within easy walking distance of the railway station and Piazza Maggione, and pretty much every other tourist attraction with the exception of San Luca, which makes it a lovely place to walk around and explore the city, and easy to find great places for a bite to eat, or to sit in the sun with a glass of something chilled to watch the world go by. This time around there was also a water filter so I could refill chilled or sparkling water rather than having to buy bottles, which was fab (I don't think it was there last time). Lovely place (apartment and city). I will be back.

Nothing of note: there was an issue with the aircon dripping on the floor, which was rectified super speedy, and the channels on the television were a bit limited - possibly due to wifi issue - but it had no impact on a lovely stay, I was quite happy to have local Italian channels burbling away in the background of an evening, a reasonable way to pick up a little local language.

Location is excellent for exploring central Bologna.

Air conditioning wouldn’t cool down properly.

The beds were a little hard, especially the small one for the third person, which was also a little too small, probably made for kids

The staff were very friendly and welcoming throughout our stay. The location is excellent – just a short walk from both the city center and the beach. A great bonus was that the price included a sunbed and umbrella at the beach. The bathroom was newly renovated, and the breakfast was tasty with a decent variety. Parking was available in a nearby garage for €7 per day, which was very convenient.

The room itself was quite small and had not been renovated like the bathroom. The wardrobes had a noticeable musty smell, and the air conditioning might not be strong enough during very hot days.
