This review is for the Due Torri apartment, which has a queen bed and sofabed (i.e., suitable for 2-3 people). The hosts have a little enclave in the building of 4 apartments all located together (each with their own private doors).
The apartment was far beyond our expectations and I would not hesitate to stay here again. Location was an easy 10-12 minute walk from Bologna Centrale (most under covered porticos) and location is on major shopping street in Bologna. Location was perfect as it was a 5-minute walk to the literal center of historic Bologna (i.e., city center is very small and walkable) yet close enough to train station so day trips are easy. Very busy and safe shopping district (for anyone used to typical city life at least.)
Conad grocery store a 2-minute walk.
Clean. Bathroom was huge by European standards. Shower water pressure was amazing (the best I've ever had anywhere). Beds were fine (not amazing but definitely not a problem at all). No real view from our apartment's window (we didn't try as shutters were closed), but window was openable so we let in so cool air. Kitchen/fridge/stove were all in good working order. No microwave but not a problem.
No key required. Simply used button for outer building door, and codes for other doors. Codes were provided by host day of arrival (via Whatsapp). Included video showing entire process. Minimal communication needed with hosts because there were no issues with apartment during stay.
Would definitely stay here again and would recommend to friends if they are visiting Bologna.
Nothing really. Could have let us know in weeks leading up to visit that instructions/code would be provided that day (even if actual code was not provided until day of arrival).
