Friendly hospitality! Remus, the owner, replied fast, was easily contactable and helpful. We wanted to buy some tea from them so Remus and Bear spent time conducting a tea tasting session for us. Knowledgeable in the difference between teas, they were great hosts. The room was comfortable and the comforter kept us warm. In June, during the rainy season, just the standing fan provided ample air circulation in our 2-person room. The dehumidifier was helpful in helping us airdry our clothes after our rainy hikes. The hot shower with good water pressure was much appreciated in the cold weather. The basic facilities were provided (note: only short towels provided, no bath towels), and they also provided complimentary tea packets they self-produced. As per general Taiwanese facilities, a water dispenser for warm and hot water was available right outside the room.

Do take note that the rooms are on the 2nd floor and the staircase leading to it is quite steep, so as long as you're careful, it's all good.

Great place to stay near Shizhuo. I recommend staying here while exploring the wider Alishan region. The owners were very friendly, we had a really nice tea tasting with them and they recommended local walking trails and a good restaurant.

A full size towel would have been nice but overall it was a great place to stay.

The hot water stopped working and turned cold 3 times during my shower, that was very unpleasant. The bed is quite hard, weird large single use wipes are given instead of real towels, it's less comfortable and wasteful
