Family House, halfway Lisbon/Fatima, lovely garden, private pool

We loved this house - really big and spacious with everything you might need and a beautiful pool and garden. João was the perfect host and greeted us on arrival (with an amazing cake). The house is well positioned for day trips to Lisbon, Cascais and the wild Atlantic coast including the westernmost point of mainland Europe. The village is sleepy but has both a good restaurant, a coffee bar (don’t miss the pastel de nata) and a well stocked supermarket 3 mins drive or about 20 mins walk from the house. But we mostly enjoyed chilling out by the pool and relaxing. We all had a great time - thank you Joao!

Beautiful house, very neat and clean. Much bigger than it shows in photos and the garden is even more beautiful in real life. We even had our own vegetable garden and fruit trees. Everything you needed was there - we could not find any faults. The house stayed cool in hot days, the pool was clean, big and refreshing. Bed rooms were quiet and kitchen was large and you found everything for cooking etc. You will need a car to go to shops and restaurants but everything is anyway near. The host, João, was extremely helpful and very nice. we even got little gift for my birthday from him. We would happily recommend this place to everyone. Best holiday home we ever had stayed +++

Our party of 10 were thrilled to stay in this pretty, super-clean and spacious property. We were humbly welcomed by the owner, Joao, who is a total gentleman and only wanted the best for our stay. Nothing was too much trouble to ask from him and his nephews. The property has wonderfully peaceful surroundings, a beautifully tended garden and veg plot (by the lovely & cherry Deolinda) and a good sized inviting pool. The kids enjoyed all the nooks and crannies to explore the sprawling landscape as well as the use of the pool toys/floats/noodles. Not forgetting the Dogs, Spike and Brownie - oh how they were doted on and cuddled, daily. They are kenneled and looked after by carers but you can release them if you are dog lovers. The kitchen has everything you could want for and is fully equipped. It was the heart of the home, for us. We made full use of that as we were entirely self catering although there are a couple of eateries in the local village as well as a little shop that has all the basics you might need including a butcher, fresh rolls and groceries. The rooms were cool and comfortable to sleep with the option of air con and/or extra blankets if you needed them. Towels are provided plus pool towels which helps reduce weight in your baggage. Plus. With the access to a washing machine, you can clean your clothes throughout your stay; again, reducing your packing of many clothes! Asked if we would choose this property again? ABSOLUTELY YES!

Nous venons de passer quelques jours de vacances dans la maison de Jao qui nous a très bien accueilli dans sa jolie demeure avec un apéritif local et un gâteau préparé par Deolinda cette maison est très bien entretenue elle est très bien équipée, elle est parfait pour 3 couples avec enfants nous étions 5 couples donc difficile de dormir dans les lits enfants et de ce servire de la salle de bain qui était trop petite pour nous. Les dimensions des lits adultes sont à revoir ainsi que la literie. Nous sommes arriver dans une semaines où il y avait pas mal de vent impossible de manger dehors et de profité de la piscine qui n'est pas chauffée ce qui est dommage et en plus nous avons dû la nettoyer nous même car personne n'es venu le faire. Il y avait des fruits et des légumes à notre disposition Deolinda nous a préparé des repas très bons et assez copieux  à des prix resonables
