Vila Olarias

The house is great. Everything was clear and new. It has all the kitchen supplies. The bed was awesome.

Location itself is great. But in the little square in front of the house, there was a specific old guy always sitting at the door every night.

The location on the map is great. Very close to the old town and also not too far from the Baixa/Chiado area. The apartment itself is perfect for a short stay. Very modern, clean and accessible. A great hub to have for exploring Lisbon.

The location does not feel incredibly safe at night. Outside the apartment there are often people loitering, even very late at night, which does not make it feel safe. It would not feel safe at all for solo female travellers, to the point I would not recommend it for them, which is a shame because the apartment itself and the hosts are so lovely. Not the hosts fault at all, but something we wanted to mention after our stay.

Good location. Good security at the entrance and very clear check-in instructions It is clean and looks recently renovated. The neighborhood is safe and very quiet.

There is no second set of sheets and blankets for use on the sofa. There are no hand and face towels in the bathroom. There is no mop, so if a "wet" accident happens, there is no way to clean up the water.

The apartment itself had some positive aspects, but unfortunately the location overshadowed everything else. There were groups of men regularly sitting outside drinking and behaving in a way that made us feel uncomfortable, which meant we couldn’t properly relax or even open the windows. A local taxi driver also mentioned that the area is considered unsafe and advised us to avoid walking there, especially at night. Because of this, we didn’t feel secure during our stay, and it significantly affected our overall experience.
