A little gem in many ways

The host Jules was lovey , a nice warm greeting and very helpful, the property was absolutely perfect, the local pub is just a 5 minute walk which was warm and cheerful, also serve nice food, plenty of options for parking and even a small farm type coffee shop across the road, perfect little village location

An absolutely fab stay n positioned where we could visit all the beautiful parts of the Cotswolds !

Absolutely immaculate with everything and more was like home from home , the host went above and beyond with goodies, milk ,juice and great info on all the places to visit ,also books all on the Cotswolds at hand, plus it’s central to all the beautiful Cotswolds, the most cosy cottage, we had an amazing stay,!

Beautiful property - met all expectations .cottage in good location for day trips in Cotswold. Lovely local pub with good food . Friendly and helpful owner. Bedding was very comfortable . Cottage had everything you need for an enjoyable stay

The cottage is beautiful inside & out. Spotless inside & super cosy. The village shop & cafe are literally across the road & the pub/restaurant is only a 5 minute walk. The circular country walk out to Daylesford Farm Shop via Kingham is an absolute delight. We loved everything about this property & location. Also Jules the property owner is normally on hand if there are any issues or if you need any local information.

An excellent stay apart from the bed.

It was self contained and in a very good location in a small village. The kitchen was well equipped and functional. The lounge area was comfy and the bedroom and bathroom were an adequate size.

The bed was much too soft and aggravated my partner’s back problem. The mattress should be replaced. She didn’t sleep well because of this.

Fabulous cottage in great location.

Everything was top class. Even used the wood burner. Local shop very close with coffee and well stocked local produce. Good pub near although a little expensive for food.

Was a beautiful location the accommodation had everything you could wish for bed was super comfy and the host Jules was lovely would highly recommend the old reading room would definitely go back just to add there was a real 🎄 which was a lovely added touch 👌👌

Lovely 1 bed cottage in a great location in a small countryside village close to the main attractions in the Cotswolds. Well presented and looked after property with excellent kitchen facilities and outdoor seating and comfortable living and bedroom area. Lovely hosts living in delightful thatched cottage next door

The 6pm check in was a bit inconvenient on day 1 as it was a bank holiday

Heerlijke gezellige en rustige plek, omringd door pittoreske dorpjes

Prachtige woning, gezellige inrichting, houtkachel, uitgebreide keuken van alle gemakken voorzien. Bovendien was het heel dichtbij allemaal geweldige pittoreske dorpjes zoals Slaughter en Stow-On-The-Wold.

Een duidelijk adres (dat ook voor niet-Britten te begrijpen is) zou fijn zijn; we hebben een kwartier door het dorp gereden totdat een buurtbewoner ons de weg wees

We hebben genoten van een heerlijke relaxte week in de Cotswolds!

Het gaat om een knusse cottage op het platteland. Een perfecte uitvalbasis voor zowel wandelingen als voor het bezichtigen van stadjes in de buurt. Het huisje heeft een super uitgeruste keuken en een gezellige woonkamer. De slaapkamer is op de eerste verdieping, evengoed als de fijne badkamer. Wat mij het meeste beviel was het lichtinval, dankzij de grote glazen wand in de keuken.

Charmantes Ferienhaus mit historischem Charme, für Zwei

The Old Reading Room ist ein separates Gebäude unmittelbar an der mäßig befahrenen Main Street. Parkmöglichkeiten bestehen nicht unmittelbar am Objekt selbst (außer zum Be- und Entladen), sondern kostenfrei in der Church Street. . The Old Reading Room ist ein mehrere hundert Jahre altes Sandsteingebäude mit historischem Charme, das zu einer kompletten Ferienwohnung für zwei Personen umgebaut wurde. Es ist über eine Treppenstufe von der Giebelseite her oder über einen eigenen Terrasseneingang erschlossen. Von der Küche mit Essbereich und Küchenzeile aus ist der Wohnraum erreichbar, der Schlafbereich mit zugeordnetem Duschbad ist über eine nicht allzu breite Treppe erreichbar. . Wohn- und Schlafbereiche sind nicht durch eine Tür voneinander getrennt, das Wohnraum ist raumhoch bis zum Dach offen. Das Duschbad ist vom Schlafbereich durch eine Wand abgetrennt. Sowohl die umfangreiche Ausstattung der Küchenzeile (u.a. mit Kühlschrank, Backofen, Spülmaschine, Kaffee-Kapselmaschine) als auch des Duschbades und des Wohnraumes lassen keine Wünsche offen. Die Bestückung der Küchenzeile mit kleineren Goodies war außergewöhnlich gut. Kaum zu erwähnen, dass Handtücher und Bettzeug dem insgesamt hohen Ausstattungsstandard entsprachen und genau wie das Mobiliar und das gesamte Loft in einem guten Zustand war. Die Dusche mit Warmwasser, das auch immer super ablief, könnte etwas Aufmerksamkeit vertragen. Jules als charmante Gastgeberin wohnt im Haus nebenan, gibt gerne hervorragende Tipps für Ausflüge in die Umgebung und kümmert sich gerne um weitere Wünsche, die wir allerdings nicht hatten. Da sie nicht zu schnell und deutlich spricht, war selbst für uns als ungeübte Englisch-Sprecher die Kommunikation problemlos möglich, sogar am Telefon. Wir kommen gerne wieder!
