About this cottage rental

The lovely town of Burford occupies a position on the meandering River Windrush. Burford is built on a fairly steep hill, and the view from the top of the hill looking down the High Street to the river is one of the classic panoramas of the Cotswolds. A lovely 4-arched medieval bridge, widened in the 18th century, crosses the Windrush, and though Burford itself does not occupy the northern bank, a walk across the bridge is rewarded by wonderful views across watermeadows to the spire of St. John the Baptist parish church.
152 The Hill has been completed renovated and now offers 5 individual holiday homes, The Snug is one of them, all five properties can be all be rented if you would like, family Christmas, special occasions, the whole property will sleep up to 23, but you will all have your individual space, please see 8379754, 8379752, 6977567, 8379755 and please contact us for details.
The Snug is a one bedroom cottage, with one bathroom with a large shower, it can sleep up to 2 people, the bedroom has its own clean style, with one double bed, large open plan living, kitchen, dining area and a sitting room with TV, a snug, cosy place for two.

A communal garden can be found at the back of the property, it is lawned and is available to all guests that are staying at 152 The Hill. When you step outside the property, you are metres away from a newsagent, a butcher, a deli, a chemist, restaurants, pubs, a little further down is the Co-op shop. It is a brilliant place to stay as a base to explore the Cotswolds, with many places to visit.

We had a great stay, fantastic location, plenty of places to eat and drink, a wild life park 5 mins down the road if you like that sort of thing, we had a great day out there. We would love to stay again, the accommodation was very clean and tidy, nice and quiet just off the main road of burford. All in all, spot on!

Loved our stay at The Snug! Great location on Burford High Street. Easy check in with clear instructions of where to park. Beautiful place to stay, like a cosy home from home. Loved the fresh bread, cakes and bottle of fizz that were kindly left for us.Great communication from Sally when we had to amend our dates due to illness.100% recommend staying at The Snug!

Beautiful property in a prime location. Great facilities - working kitchen, modern bathroom, garden access. The only let down was the bed. It rocks with any movement at all. We ended up taking the mattress off to sleep on the floor in the end. I noticed the frame itself isnt screwed in properly which is the likely cause. The mattress topper also causes some movement as we found this on the floor too. Please invest in a better bed, we spent our time in the Cotswold quite exhausted after awful nights sleep. The property is absolutely wonderful otherwise!

The snug is perfect for a couple get away, centrally located in the high street, so you have access to all the shops and restaurants, but once inside the accommodation you have complete peace & quiet.Sally was great at communicating and left us some lovely welcome gifts which were much appreciated. The accommodation has everything you need to self cater if you so wish.We enjoyed our stay so much we are returning next month with friends and staying in the Lodge, one of Sally’s other properties

Myself and my husband stayed in "The Snug" for 4 nights and it was perfect. Lovely, cosy, clean and well equipped accommodation in a really lovely area. Burford is great with everything you need on your doorstep, many great pubs and restaurants. The local area is beautiful and we will definitely be back for another visit sometime, and will pick "The Snug" to stay.
