The bedroom (at the back of the property) has a kingsize bed and a smart TV with Freesat satellite TV.

Kitchen with electric cooker, microwave, fridge and washer / dryer.

The wet-room has a shower and under-floor heating.

We carry out cleaning ourselves and supervise our cleaners every single changeover day. We often get the apartment clean before 3pm (15.00) and we will let you know when the apartment will be ready on the day you are due to arrive.

Over 70% of the guests who stay in the Old Shop apartment are repeat guests who come back year after year.

All linen & towels and electricity included. Superfast WiFi throughout the apartment.

Saturday is our normal changeover day and we operate on a weekly basis (i.e. Saturday to Saturday).

When we arrived, the apartment was easy to find and not too far from the car park. You can arrange a car Park permit for the week when you arrive. We parked in the first car park you come to as you come into Mevagissey. It cost us £40 for the whole week. We always had a parking space when we needed one. The apartment was modern spacious and well decorated. The wet room had underfloor heating and was beautifully designed. There was a sofa bed in the the lounge which was very comfortable. There was an air conditioning unit the lounge which was really useful in the heat. The main bedroom was very comfortable and the bed was made very welcoming. The kitchen was lovely with literally everything you needed. There isn't a freezer but it does have a good sized fridge. There was clear and precise instructions for everything in a well presented folder. Overall the apartment was a brilliant find and we thoroughly enjoy staying there and would definitely return for another holiday. The only frustration we found was the traffic that goes past the frontage. There is a porch which we found useful. Thank you for a lovely stay. Dave, Jayde and Harry.

    Family break cut short

The property itself is lovely, well appointed, clean, with everything you wanted. The downside with the apartment is that you can hear every step taken upstairs in the apartment above. At times it felt like we were staying under the stage at a riverdance performance or a heard of wildebeest running past on safari. Conveyed the noise issue to the owner but wasn't interested. My main criticism of the apartment is that it's not really big enough for 4 people to sleep in. The living room has 2 sofa beds, the instruction is to use the larger one, which when out leaves little or no room, as my partner found out to her expense. The furniture was arranged as instructed and as she got out of bed she tripped over the table banging her foot on the metal framework on the sofa bed. The result was a broken ankle in 2 places. So if you use the sofa bed be careful.

The Old Shop is fantastic, has everything you need and is in a superb location, with Mevagissey harbour literally a 2 minute walk. Loved our stay here and we will definitely be back. Thanks again John and Kate 👍
