Amabilidad de la dueña, en todo momento atenta. La casa es preciosa, muy bien equipada y limpia con las camas comodisimas. El sitio estrangulo. Además dispone de una plaza de aparcamiento que en la zona es complicado.

Colina Mare ligger smukt op af bakken ikke langt fra Funchal centrum. En fantastisk udsigt over byen, havnen og bjergene. Gaderne er smalle, stejle og hyggelige. Parkeringskælderen er rummelig. Alle faciliteterne i lejligheden er som hjemme - der findes alt som du har brug for.

Gaderne er meget smalle, vi kunne kun passerer andre biler med sidespejle slået ind... lej en lille bil. Madrasserne i det lilla rum var hårde.

The view is superb, right across Funchal, either from the balcony or if the weather is inclement from the patio doors. The patio is south facing, so it gets the sun all day long. Vanda is a great host, goes out of her way to be helpful. She provided excellent info on where to collect keys from. The apartment was exceptionally clean, spacious, comfortable and firm mattresses, very well equipped kitchen, good showers. Shower soap, dishwasher tablets etc provided. Plenty of storage throughout. Flowers and herbs were a nice touch. WiFi is about 100Mb/s, and mobile reception is good. The lift works well, and can be accessed via the garage if you have mobility problems. The parking in the garage is spacious. Easy walk into town, get a taxi back. Bolt is available, and price agreed on booking. We found it to be excellent.

So, why a score of 8? Well, there are some points you must be aware of. The two bedrooms facing the street will get noise from the cafe across the road, most of the time there is a group of 2-4 people standing outside and gossiping. Not loud, but annoying as the rest of the street is very quiet. The windows are double glazed, but the conversations, though muted, can be heard. The bedroom and the lounge at the back are unfortunately about 20m from the back yard of a neighbour who has a small dog which barks for about 12 hrs per day. When I say bark, it is actually “yap, yap, yap, yap, yap yap yap” ad infinitum. I do feel sorry for the full time residents of the adjacent houses. No full length or shaving mirrors.

The location and the view! Vanda is an amazing and very caring host. The apartment has everything we needed and even more. It was such a nice experience to have incredible view from the apartments balcony. We apartment was very clean and comfortable.

We loved everything
