Lovely place for a short stay

Studio apartment has everything you need for a short stay. Great location near the chateau. Free parking on the street. Lovely breakfast and host.

Bed in the loft was quite small for an adult. Better suited to a child.

Worked out well and close to Fontainebleau chateau

The owner was very dedicated to our comfort. Although I had thought it had air conditioning, it was not a problem. Great breakfast with fresh squeezed orange juice.

Relaxing, comfortable stay in lovely accomodation and garden setting.

Fabulous accomodation in the heart of beautiful Fontinbleau. Quiet and private set in lovely rustic garden. Gerard was a great host. Very comfortable stay.

Parking was a challenge though it was the weekend of a huge music festival so probably normally not so hard.

Excelente place if you go to Insead

Well, the space was really wide and has everything I needed to feel confortable. The bed was big enough for two people. The shower is big (02 people) and the pressure coming from the shower was really nice. Breakfast is really a special moment for sharing your day with Gerard or some other person who can be staying in the other appartament, at least, I made a new friend!! The eggs are coming from his own chickens and makes his own jama (strawberry and 3 more)

Fantastic!

Gerard is a wonderful host. His breakfasts are phenomenal - homemade yogurt, freshly squeezed homemade orange juice, homemade jams and honey … and lots of bread and pastry. The coffee is excellent too. I stayed as I was attending INSEAD for the week. It’s the perfect location, 8 minutes from campus and 5 minutes into the quaint town centre. It’s nice and quiet at night and I felt very safe as a lone female traveller.

Fantastic base for visiting the area

Lovely little oasis very close to the chateau. The breakfast was wonderful and you would never know you were in the middle of a town. The room was very comfortable for the three of us with the added bonus of a little kitchen - although we didn't use it as everything was on our door step.

Monsieur Gérard is incredibly welcoming and made us felt very at home. The duplex was spotlessly clean, which was a joy after 2 weeks of camping! Breakfast was delicious with homemade yoghurt and Jams. Beautiful cottage garden filled with flowers, fruit and vegetables. Only 8 mins walk from.the main restaurant area and the chateau. Very lovely stay. We will definitely be back. Merci beaucoup M. Et Mme!

Fantastic B and B for short break

The chambre d'hotes was very clean and very comfortable. The bed was excellent. The shower was excellent . The breakfast was excellent with plenty of home made produce. Gerard the host was extremely helpful and attentive without being over the top. Nothing was too much trouble. He even helped carry the luggage from the car. Merci beaucoup Gerard !

There was nothing to dislike at Catouniere. Only one comment I would make is that there is free on street parking outside the premises. There is no parking at the premises. I always book Interparking in the town centre . Approximately 28 euros for the week.

Fantastic haven of peace in the middle of Fontainebleau with an attentive host.

Fantastic central location for visiting INSEAD and town. Amazing homemade breakfasts with fresh fruit from the garden. Gerard the host went out of his way to make my family's stay exceptional, for instance getting fresh milk for my son. The garden is a peaceful haven in the middle of town, with a dog, chickens and tortoises. Would definitely stay there again next time I am visiting.

10/10. 20/10. Gérard was charming, the room was perfect, the location spectacular, the shower was splendid and the little French breakfast is great! If you are considering visiting Fontainebleau, stay here. There's a turtle in the garden, a cute dog, and fresh vegetables and flowers everywhere!

It's easier to communicate with the owner in French than it is in English. Be prepared! The bed was up the stairs in our room. While it wasn't a problem for us, it might be an issue for some.
