Sheens House

The accommodation was attractive and I loved the books and decor. The bathroom was very nice with a large deep bathtub. It was good to have a small breakfast room with a little table. There was a tiny fridge and the owners kindly provided fresh milk and sparkling water and even a little cereal. They also provided passes to park on the street which was very helpful.

The location was pleasant but a moderately long walk into town. At times we heard others walking around and speaking in the hall and other rooms but it never disturbed our sleep.

The host was very kind and helpful. The place is in a great location—it's within walking distance of downtown, and we were even able to park our car near the house.

The location was good

We were not entirely satisfied with certain aspects of our stay. As a family of six who showers daily after long days, receiving fresh towels only every three days was inconvenient, especially since there was no washing machine or dryer available for use. Additionally, it was not mentioned in the booking details that we would need to carry all our luggage up a narrow staircase to reach the second floor. Furthermore, the property being a shared home with rooms rented to others, along with only one shared toilet, did not provide the level of privacy we were expecting. Another major issue was that the rooms had no air conditioning, and during the hot weather, we were sweating and unable to sleep comfortably. When we raised this concern with the landlord, the response we received was unexpectedly unpleasant, which added to our disappointment.
