    This place was a bit out of my normal price range but my family loved it. It had a private spa on our deck so that you'll get here. The birds and frogs and crickets in the river running. The location is excellent right on the loop through the valley along the river. The price was much cheaper than the other hotels. If you you the breakfast foods strain and fresh fruit in veggies and the staff was super friendly and helpful. I personally have was that it didn't have Japanese toilet. It seems like like that's the way that would have matched the room decor. Plus I really like those toilets. I was surprised to have it. Other than that, it was a great value for money and from what I saw it was the best best located hotel with a family room and outdoor spa along the whole river circuit. Also, I should mention that we went in June which is typically not a time to go, but the whole island was experiencing a lot of rain and it worked out perfect for us. Beitou valley was definitely worth a visit. Super chill vibe and we drove up the mountains to the coast which was amazing. City buses take you up into the mountains too. You can catch them to the hiking trails if you want.

    It's very close to places around the area, the rooms are gorgeous and large bathroom. Breakfast is very decent and fulfilling. Just love it. will recommend to everyone who look for a spa hotel around the area.

    First off, we were greeted by a stern front desk lady who wore a mask but we could see she wasn’t very welcoming nor smiling. But another lady and another guy who at night were friendlier. The room was a bit primitive - almost no soundproofing, light leaks under the door - and later at night I could hear my neighbour closing their shower door, opening and closing water tap. Others have already mentioned there is no blinds for the bathroom, we agree and also felt it’s too dark. There should also be a glass partition shielding the shower area and the toilet; this is the architect’s fault and hard to fix. There is another potential hazard, especially for smaller people as the private bath is quite a tall wall to climb over. Unfortunately, I wouldn’t recommend this place.
