    I chose this hotel mainly for its close proximity to Dihua Street, which is only about a five-minute walk away. It is also quite easy to get around on foot. Ningxia Night Market and Carrefour are both within walking distance, although they are in opposite directions. I am especially grateful to the hotel for holding my booking for me, as there had been an issue with Agoda. The staff were very helpful throughout my stay. They allowed me to check in early and also helped carry my luggage up to the fourth floor. Please note that there is no elevator in the hotel, so this is something to bear in mind if you have heavy luggage. The room and bathroom were clean, and the air-conditioning was powerful, which was very welcome during the hot days. The shower pressure was decent, and shampoo and shower gel were provided. The room itself is quite small, but I found it perfectly fine as a solo traveller. It would be best if you are not travelling with a large suitcase. I had a carry-on suitcase, and there was enough space to open it in the only open area of the floor. There is a vintage-looking hairdryer in the room. It works, but the wire is a bit wonky, so you have to hold the dryer at a certain angle for it to stay on. It is vintage, after all. My only issue was that the Wi-Fi was a bit sketchy and I could not always connect, so I had to use my own data at times. Other than that, it is a lovely hotel with very kind and helpful staff. They also allowed me to store my luggage after check-out, as my flight was only at night. Overall, I had a pleasant stay and would recommend it, especially for solo travellers who want to be close to Dihua Street.

    I loved the concept of the hotel. The room was a bit small but had every facilities I need, and was very cozy. There was no elevator, and my room was on the 4th floor. The stairs were very narrow, so I had to be careful... Small stain on the blanket but ok overall. Regarding the location, the price and the atmosphere, I would definitely stay here again.
