This is far better than other NYC hostels. The heating/cooling of the rooms can be a bit problematic, with the rooms being very hot, but the employees work so hard at keeping the whole place friendly, functional and very clean. The cafe is very convenient and the pool table is great, but the back courtyard and double sized kitchen downstairs is so useful. Onsite laundry with an iron is convenient, as is the $5 locker that you can access until 11pm. It’s expensive for a hostel, but they built a community for travelers, so it’s worth it.

I traveled solo and stayed at a 6 bed shared room and it was okay, everyone was organized. The staff was very helpful and spoke more than one language. Facilities were good for the price, shared bathrooms were very clean, they had a big fully equipped kitchen, that was amazing. Also they organized activities for people to get to know each other. I’d definitely come back

Nice staff, very clean and shared bedrooms are okay for the price. Very close to a train station, you can go downtown in 15 minutes. Fully equipped kitchen and big bathrooms. I recommend it for the price

Checked in at 4pm. I was given a room and keys to it. Upon arriving, the bed was not made up apparently. Had to wait for more than 30 minutes for a cleaner only to be redirected to the lobby again. I was given a new room after that so all good i just did not appreciate the wait and it was already past their check in time so you'd expect it to be ready. Elevator is really slow too and the restrooms are not the most clean but manageable.
