I had a great stay at this hostel in New York! The staff were friendly and welcoming, the location was excellent, and the price was very reasonable, especially for New York City. It offers great value for money and is a perfect choice for travelers looking for a comfortable stay without spending too much. I would definitely recommend it and would happily stay here again!

    Not worth it.

Booked this with an expectation of basic, It was awful, as a solo traveller I would not recommend at all. The ONLY plus was location, fantastic and easily accessible. Acknowledged by a guy in a dark corner watching his cctv on arrival told my room was that way and given a thin blanket. The room basic bunk, fine. No natural daylight in the room, skutty lockers that looked like they were taken from a scrap heap. The bathroom was the highlight and I use the term bathroom lightly. Broken caved in floor, door didn’t work, only window had a smashed screen. Couldn’t sit on toilet as it so close to wall. Had to shimmy past to get to shower. The whole room was beyond dirty, exposed pipes, sink didn’t work. Felt dirty coming out of there. Final selling point was the other ‘guests’ they were still covering themselves up from the bathroom when entering the shared dirty kitchen space. Not the sausage I wanted to see before breakfast. On checkout l the dark corner was unoccupied, he eventually came back from shop and took the key saying ‘that’s it’ no further communication Cheap and cheerful expected, not even close. Overpaid for the experience
