Golden Gate

That was one of the best and nicest places we stayed, the host is so nice and the price is too cheap! The room was amazing with everything clean and the beds were comfortable we slept like babies. It was amazing overall, the breakfast was delicious and fresh.

Eka is a lovely host and she provided a nice breakfast! The bathroom was nice, with a separate shower (in stead of a wet room like most guesthouses we had in Georgia). Lots of restaurants in the area and very close to the castle.

The room/bed we had was very small. We only stayed for one night so for us it was fine, but something you might want to consider when you stay a bit longer and have more luggage.

Been there two times this year and I will certainly come back. Location is just 8 minutes walk to the fortress. Restaurants are walking distance away.

The host Caterina is a gentle and extremely friendly woman with a warm smile that made us feel immediately at home. The room was quite small and a little cramped for the three of us and the bathroom quite basic (after you shower the entire floor is flooded with water). However the place is right next to Rabati castle (which is the reason to come to Akhaltsikhe), the breakfast was homecooked with love and it really felt like being hosted by a Georgian family.
