The property is located right at the main road leading to popular destinations, such as Muncaster castle, Ravenglass, Seascale, Was Waters, Scafell Pike & more. With a pub right next door as well a bonus.
Could have been cleaner but it had all the facilities needed for comfort. Great views from the first floor living spaces.
Downside is a fire alarm that needed replacing (battery low beep), a shoe print on the bedding and perhaps if not used to, the road noise at busy times.

Great location/base to explore from, close to Scafell Pike (the reason we went) & also situated next door to a pub! We loved the layout of the upside-down house, sat at the dining table upstairs you have stunning views from three windows and can see out to sea & across fields. Offroad parking was perfect for loading and unloading.
It might be fair to say a few parts of the property are a little tired but did this detract from our stay, no. Would I like to pay more money for a shiny new bathroom or kitchen? again no.

Good location right next door to pub with amazing food ideal after a long day out to chill out in.
The tv romote control didn’t work even after changing batteries and had to change channels manually.
The bedroom with the on-suite smelt a bit damp and the extractor fan in the on-suite was intermittent.

It was well-located and the house was generally well-equipped. The parking was secure and suitable to the property. We were easily able to keep warm and dry wet clothing; the supply of both a main bathroom and an en-suite was useful, especially with my children also staying.
Having the house laid out upside-down is very sensible, affording good views across the surroundings and minimising potential road noise. (It matters little that the bedrooms are at road level, since the road has very little traffic by night.)
A main issue is the incorrect positioning of all of the taps, the right-hand tap being hot over all sinks and the bath. This is not how they should be installed, according to building regulations and could result in a guest being burned, if automatically expecting cold water when using what is most usually the leading hand.
The only issue was that of an issue with internet and TV provision. Of course, on holiday, one can do without these, but in the case of 1 Park Nook Close, there is a further consequence, since there is no TV aerial provided, so the absence of Internet provision disables TV reception. It also means that many programmes cannot be found when the internet is available, since reception is required for a TV guide to be available! It was also hard for me and the occupant of No. 2 to get this resolved and it was not rectified by the time we left (more than 20 hours after the fault occurred).
Returning to bathroom issues, the miniature sink in the en-suite has a slope, so that soap etc. slip off it, onto the floor.
All these issue really need to be resolved, as this would make this stay extremely good in a property that has very good potential. We couild also have done with a bath mat in the en-suite.
