It’s a little, quaint well maintained cottage and acted as a perfect base of operations for a weekend before we moved north across the border.
I hadn’t realised that the you had to walk through the master bedroom to reach the second bedroom but that didn’t affect our stay.

It was a lovely, well equipped and comfortable cottage in a fantastic stunning location. The owner was very friendly and helpful and we were gifted with a delicious home made victoria sponge cake, a nice bottle of red and some delicious freshly laid eggs. Being in the middle of lambing season we were lucky enough to see some new born lambs and the farm dog was really friendly. Overall. A fantastic cottage and we will definitely be back
The only slight issue was that we couldn't seem to get the dvd player to work. However it could have been us being dumb. Unfortunately we didn't have a spare child to show us how the machine works 😄

The surroundings and quietness
The property has everything you need but could use some updating throughout, especially in terms of soundproofing, as we could clearly hear noises from next door and the sorrounding farm.
Although the property shows as pet friendly, to our surprise we were told that our dog was not allowed in the bedrooms - this caused the need for one of us to sleep on the sofa with the dog on both nights, as they were agitated with new noises, sorroundings, etc. and they could not settle down wihtout being close to us.
The stairs to get to the bedrooms are quite steep. Also, the bedrooms are not separate - you have one bedroom at the top of the stairs, which is more like a big upstairs hall, and you have to go through this bedroom to get to the second one at the back.
