Travelling for work, this was a suitable base in a beautiful location.

The location was right on the edge of the RSPB's Hodbarrow Nature Reserve. It was also within walking distance of St. Luke's Church, Haverigg, which has now re-opened (I led their service of Holy Communion during the stay) after two years of closure. There's good catering from the Harbour Hotel, and a fish and chip shop which is also to be recommended.

When I arrived there was no local presence. The person on the phone sounded as though he was in a call centre, and he asked me to do something my (rather basic) phone won't do to provide proof of ID. He did eventually let me in, but emailing in advance for anything that's required would obviously be better - especially in a place where the wifi is hidden behind a paywall.

Gorgeous place good location the area is stunning if you walk Will return to this site but not this van unless the shower is fixed as the location is lovely.

We were left no towels well 1 hand towel for 2 adults - no problem if I had known would have taken some - please make it clear in the advert if they are not provided I had to go buy some - the shower doesn't work properly it dribbles out it isn't appropriate you also have to hold it as its to big for the holder. No hairdryer which again if made clear would have took my own. The van has no central heating weather was glorious for us but wouldn't like a autumn /winter stay. Bare minimum of everything if I was staying any longer would have had to buy toilet rolls and bin bags also cleaning products these are things you would expect to be provided again if I had known would have taken my own. I clean my bathroom everyday so I would do the same whilst away but this wasn't possible.

Fantastic location, but will not recommend this caravan to anyone else, unless it is refreshed.

The location was absolutely stunning. Though we were there during a stormy few days and felt the caravan sway with every surge of wind, the views were good, once you stepped out. The place was clean, all essentials were present.

As soon as we entered, we were greeted with a freezing, musty-smelling caravan. Though clean, it did not look inviting at all. The caravan vibrates when anyone walks nearby (even children) - we've stayed in many caravans before, never experienced this. The edge of the coffee table in the living room is a hazard, with sharp bits tearing out of the covering, it scratched the kids many times, who were playing around it. The blinds on the kitchen window don't work, the extractor hood (over the cooker) does not work, the TV is tilted downwards, the toilet seats were loose in both toilets, some of the cushions in the living room smelled weird, the water pressure from the shower is seriously lacking even when no other taps were on, the single bed mattresses (yes, all 4) were so bumpy that we could feel the springs in them, the double bedroom window is not fitted properly (we think) as there was a constant draft of cold air coming through. The entire caravan looked dated and tired, in serious need of a refresh and deep clean.

Was disappointed

When we were on the way, it was beautiful. If weather was good, walking around the lake was nice.

Restaurant bar was 12 to 6 and sometimes 8pm. Unfortunately at the first night which was storming and heavy rain, we had to move to the other property because the gas capsules were empty and during movement my wife fell down. It was horrible time. I haven’t seen this before that property wasn’t ready and you find it during night and bad weather. Nobody was there to help, just we could talk to owner which was in London and that was disappointing. And next to the site another site was under construction. I don’t recommend there.

The caravan was clean and tidy. The site was quiet and scenic. Looking forwards to going back when the wake boarding park is open. The ski bar on the water front was good too. Communication with kingdom holidays was good and received the deposit back no issues. Would definitely return.

Superb

The caravan is in a lovely location, lots of walks and pretty scenery. The caravan was spacious, comfortable and clean. We stayed as a family 2 adults and a child. There was a park close to the caravan situated on the site itself, only a 2 min drive into Millom where there is the train station and a big park. Lovely for a quite weekend away :)

was ok but smelt of smoke throughout as if previous guests or owners smoked inside. also no idea how to get keys on arrival so spent time trying to sort - communication on what to do in arrival / prior to arrival was very poor. expected somewhere to take deposit and get keys but effectively self service and no idea what to do! 😞

The park is set in a beautiful area with stunning views. And the caravan was perfect and spotlessly clean.

The only thing I can think of is more heating in the caravan as the weather turned very cold at night.

Comfortable caravan in a beautiful setting.

Gorgeous little caravan in a perfect setting. Very clean, comfortable and relaxing. Facilities were great including the cooker, tv and comfy beds. Would absolutely stay again, the host was great at responding and kind. If you want a long weekend away by a beautiful lake and tranquil beach this caravan is perfect. Loved we could take our puppies they had the best time!

Paid higher amount for a lake view caravan, but the alloted one was two rows back from the lake, Caravan was too old and not that nice, one big room is there, but other two rooms are really small. please try to confirm the same while you booking,
