Evas cottage near Scafell

We stayed in Eva's Cottage in July of this year so were familiar with the facilities. It is a lovely cottage, and the heating had been timed to come on so was cozy and warm. Crisp bed linen and comfortable beds. The owner contacted me before our arrival to check if we had any dietary requirements and was kind enough to leave us gluten free bread and brownies. Also left us some hot chocolate and marshmallows which we enjoyed.

Its not a "didn't like" but I would suggest a grab hand rail on the bathroom wall as the bath is quite high to step into to have a shower after a long day hiking you need all the help you can get.

Lovely clean cottage, nicely decorated. In great location, Wasdale never disappoints! Nancy very generous and welcoming.

We had a wonderful stay at Evie’s Cottage near Gosforth and couldn’t recommend it highly enough. The cottage is absolutely beautiful, incredibly comfortable and set in a fantastic location for exploring the area. Our hosts were so welcoming and helpful, with lots of lovely little touches waiting for us on arrival that made the stay feel really special (including the best flapjacks). They also provided plenty of fantastic local tips and recommendations for things to do, places to visit and great spots to eat, which was incredibly helpful and really enhanced our time there. It’s clear how much care and thought has gone into making the cottage such a lovely place to stay. We thoroughly enjoyed our time here and would love to return in the future. Thank you for such a lovely stay!

Can’t park directly outside but easy parking only two minutes away.

Cosy cottage in a good location to explore the western lakes. Host extremely helpful and welcoming.

There is nothing we didn’t like.
