ACQUARELLO - Like at home in heart of Venice

The property was centrally located and spacious with separate living room and kitchen. The addition of a daybed in the master bedroom was helpful. The owner was more than helpful in the run up to our stay with clear check in instructions, directions and suggestions for while we were there. Very responsive.Couldn’t fault this.

It was quite tired. A lot of things were in need of repair or updating. The air conditioning didn’t cool the apartment so we were so hot. The second bedroom is very small. Not enough sockets to have bedside lamps plugged in. Where there was an extension lead it was thick with dust, creating a fire hazard. Dimmer switch held on by a matchstick, fly screens that wouldn’t move properly as they’d come off the rail, cupboard door in hall off its track so, again, tricky to open and cupboards and drawers, even the freezer, filled with the owners belongings which some may find fine but I didn’t feel I had booked an apartment for us, it felt like being in someone else’s home. Not for me. I didn’t feel it was as advertised or as reviewed by others.

Great location, really good communication from host. Exceptionally clean and a very large apartment. Perfect place to base yourself.
