We loved our stay at Arkamara Dijiwa. The pool area is gorgeous and the staff and next level friendly and helpful. The breakfasts were fantastic and the food overall was excellent and reasonably priced for such a resort. The rooms were spacious and clean and we loved relaxing on the balcony day bed. Unlimited filtered water was a bonus.

Nothing really. The location is quiet which means there aren’t really any walkable restaurants but a $5 Grab isn’t much to complain about.

Acceptable

I had a lovely stay at this resort. Staff were very friendly, welcoming and attentive. I really liked the room service options. The breakfast and meals in the restaurant were good. The sky bar onsite was pricey but lovely. I did not use their massage service as it was a little pricey compared to what's available locally. Same for their transport to the airport, Gojek or Grab was much cheaper. The pool was amazing. Overall it was a good stay but not the best I have had.

The rooms are not soundproof. Unfortunately, I could hear other guests' conversations, children playing or crying. This took away a bit from the experience as I was there to relax and my sleep was disturbed a few times due to the noise from other rooms.

Kind staff, but an impersonal, dated property

The staff are genuinely kind and polite, and this is the strongest positive aspect of the experience. Unfortunately, their efforts are not enough to compensate for an environment that feels uninspiring and for a lapse that fundamentally undermines guest trust.

The property feels underwhelming and dated, with little sense of character or atmosphere. The common areas do not invite you to linger, and the overall experience feels quite corporate and impersonal rather than warm or distinctive. Additionally, despite clearly requesting a non-alcoholic option, I was served an alcoholic drink during dinner, which was upsetting and affected my sense of comfort and safety during the stay.

Breakfast area was a bit dark, we did like the sustainability point of not cleaning the room every day as that is unnecessary, but if we put the towels on the floor it is nice that they replace them with new ones.

Ultimate relaxation in this serene, luxury hotel.

Beautiful accommodation with an amazing private pool, kitchen and small dining area. The staff were incredibly attentive with our young child, all requests attended to promptly, and the food delicious.

The location was a little remote, but we knew that. Traffic in Ubud can also be frustrating.

Enjoyed our stay in this jungle resort.

The resort is beautifully landscaped and close to nature. There is free shuttle to/from Ubud centre at fixed timing. The staff are attentive to our feedback such as spraying the room after our first night feedback about mosquitoes keeping us awake at night and they even left a pesticide spray bottle for use. The breakfast is nice and the service is excellent. The room is cleaned daily to a high standard.

The location is too remote, not so walkable to Ubud centre. There is mosquitoes at night due to the opening in the bathroom and somehow mosquitoes can come into the room despite closing the bathroom door. The price of on-site massage is higher than that offered around Ubud, so we usually took grab to try out the options outside. There no sheltered walkway from lobby or restaurant to the villa and can get all drenched even with umbrella.

It's far from town, around 15-25mins by taxi. Other facilities in the hotel, like spa treatments & drinks are incredibly expensive, massage 7x as much than in town.

Absolutely blown away!

Everything! The pool was blissful, location was perfect, in the jungle and in pure nature. The sounds of the wild life, the staff and service, food was immaculate. Hotel perfectly clean and decor was stunning. Everything was beyond our expectations.

Great getaway to reconnect with nature in serenity.

My room was upgraded upon arrival which was very nice of the resort really enjoyed my private villa and made the most of my own pool. The service is excellent they go above and beyond to meet any needs you might have. Greatly appreciated the offer to bring fruits to my villa because I mentioned it in my first nights review. Throughout my stay the staff were very pleasant especially Sinta at the Kaukau restaurant she truly stood out, appreciated her kindness. Loved the live music during dinner at the resort restaurants and the atmosphere is beautiful you really enjoy the serenity of Ubud forest.

Nothing much just beware of the lizards and mosquitoes if you have an outside toilet always keep the door shut and do not leave food out.

This place is BREATHTAKING. The photos don’t even begin to do it justice. What a tropical heaven!! Every corner is beautiful gardens and just magic. Every single staff member when encountered, even those just walking by were smiling and welcoming and so delightful. It was utter bliss staying here. I never wanted to leave. Service was impeccable and the rooms were amazing!! So spacious and so so clean. Traditional Bali meets luxury to perfection! I cannot recommend this place enough.

There is not much I can say I didn’t like about this beautiful place. Maybe just a better kids menu? And a few more options for the adults? But that’s being picky!

A great place and could be fantastic!!

The property was away from central Ubud so quiet. The breakfast was fantastic as were the staff serving at breakfast. The staff at reception were fantastic and so friendly. The bed was very comfortable and rooms are very spacious.

The towels are very worn and old. For a 5 star hotel they should be soft, white and fluffy. The pool towels were very stained and again look very well used. The room had a bit of a musty, damp smell and the cleaning standard could have been a bit higher considering it’s 5 star.

A Fine Choice for my Honeymoon!

Beautiful hotel surrounded by nature. Very warm hospitality from every team member. Free shuttle to the city centre of Ubud 3 times a day and a free photoshoot session. Different thematic dinner and music everyday at the main restaurant and rooftop bar. Easy communication with reception via WhatsApp. Complimentary daily activities including morning walk to nearby rice paddies, yoga, etc. Positive and warm hospitality. Also a generous room upgrade to a private pool villa!

Our room had a very strong mold smell. The staff offered us a villa and moved us there for the entire stay which did not have any mold smell but it did have a sewage smell in the outdoor bathroom unfortunately. Vegan options are very limited and some things on the breakfast menu are marked as vegan but they are vegetarian.

The location is lush, forest and distinctly Balinese. The staff were so polite, efficient and helpful.

2 things. First- my data I provided to book was captured by scammers. Either through booking com or the hotel itself. This is completely unacceptable. Second - there was a mould smell, especially in our first room, that was concerning. Thankfully the hotel was accommodating to change rooms.

Beautiful rooms and facilities.

The room (one bedroom pool villa) was beautiful, clean and very well appointed. The bathroom in particular was stunning and the outdoor bath was something special. The breakfast was good and had a broad range of options.

The in-house bar (Juggan Sky) and restaurant (Kau Kau) were nice enough, but were much more focussed on western foods. I would have loved to see more local dishes available as well.

Unique experience

Finding a hotel in Ubud is not easy, we had the chance to discover the Arkama Dijiwa to celebrate our daughter's birthday and it was a fantastic stay, filled with beautiful moments with kind and welcoming people, they do all they fan to make you feel home, service is excellent, restaurants are great, place is soothing, such a wonderful experience !

Beautiful hotel with wonderful staff. Noisy on level 3

Beautiful and tranquil boutique hotel. Wonderful staff and gorgeous pool

The hotel was tranquil and calm but having a rooftop bar directly above rooms on level 3 really ruined the evenings. Loud music was on each night until 9.30pm, followed by the staff moving furniture for 30min which really impacted your evening if you wanted an early night. The walls/balcony doors were also very thin so you could hear the conversation of your neighbours on their balcony even with the doors closed. Overall stunning hotel but the noise really clashed with the overall vibe of the resort

This is an excellent property. I highly recommend it if you like a quieter area to retreat to. Beautiful buildings, restaurant and rooftop bar. The service was amazing. The staff were so helpful and the quality of the food was amazing. I would return.

It was about 20 mins outside Ubud but there was a shuttle. It was not a problem for me.

Jungle paradise

The staff at Arkamara were second to none and cared for us so well during our stay. The setting is so beautiful and so quiet but it's only a short shuttle ride into Ubud centre. Our room was lovely and the view from the bath was spectacular. We will be back!

Wow!!! That's what I'd like to describe my stay here, just wow!! Stunning location, beautiful spacious rooms, amazing facilities and the staff, wow!! Highly recommended!

What I didn't like is no fault of anyone's but my immense fear for geckos, which landed in my room one night. But you're living in the jungle and should expect some anomalies

Beautiful jungle oasis in Ubud

The hotel is impressive from the moment you arrive, tucked into lush jungle outside of Ubud. The staff is exceedingly friendly and helpful - everyone from the front desk staff through to the restaurant staff. The breakfast was delicious and diverse and we enjoyed a table at the edge of the terrace overlooking the jungle each day. They upgraded our room type upon arrival which was a wonderful surprise, and we enjoyed the time we had hanging around our private pool each day -- it made it hard to leave to go sightseeing! We are already planning a return trip.

The hotel markets itself as a sanctuary, and in many ways it is a blissful retreat from more populated areas, however the rooftop restaurant had music playing each of the four nights we were there, so instead of being a peaceful retreat we had the forest noise overlayed with more of a party vibe. That was the big downside for us and sort of a contradiction. We wish it really was a retreat where we could just enjoy the sounds of nature in the evening from our terrace and pool. We could even hear the music inside our room (and it went until 11 p.m. some nights). I will also mention that the shiny stone floors in the room and bathroom are really slippery if you have wet feet -- which you often do coming out of the pool or shower! Seemed very hazardous. The only other thing to mention -- and this may be genuine helpfulness -- was that the upsell was ever present. We were contacted by the hotel photographer, given fliers for a spa package, before arrival emailed with offers of services the hotel could provide. It may be helpful for some people but for our personal tastes it was a bit over the top on the frequent offers that were mentioned to us.

amazing resort/villa complex. tucked away in the jungle area it added ti the scenery and relaxation feeling. the staff were amazing, pool facilities were both beautiful. the food was great and breakfast every morning was a great selection. the bar staff on the rooftop terrace bar were great, made excellent cocktails and friendly.

Jungle like vibe hotel with great energy!

This hotel is located not far from the city center of Ubud. It still provides a great jungle like vibe. Rooms are great and the views towards the pool and jungle is amazing. There is a good energy overall. Staff is incredible friendly.

It would have been great to have a gym. Everything is good in the hotel. The rooftop bar is a bit pricy for Bali. Generally speaking it is a great hotel.
