Dedeane Hotel & Yoga Retreat

It’s a genuine yoga school. I was not a student but it’s got this exceptional vibe about it. The students are in demanding courses . They’re enthusiastic and excited about what they’re learning. They’re inclusive so I got to share in the fun of it all without the hard work. Also Excellent value for the money and staff were warm and helpful. Even more so than the normal Balinese standard which is high to begin with.

No kettle or fridge in room but at that price point I understand.

For the price it is a above decent accommodation. Rooms are modern, pool is nice and the shower is one of the best we got in Bali, which we rate highly. Staff was very friendly and the rooms are far enough from the road to be quiet. We had some peaceful nights. It is a hotel with some good qualities and some weird choices that, if addressed, would make the hotel better. I hope they do but reading older reviews they have not taken in feedback before.

For the price you can't expect 5 stars, however, some choices don't make sense. The beds are wooden pallets with a mattress which is not good for support. Why? Because the rooms are modern and good otherwise. There is a lack of hooks and places to put up wet clothes and towels. The breakfast is average and it is awkward when you are there while there are also yoga classes. The yogi's get a very healthy fancy meal while other hotel guests get a less than basic meal with only choice off scrambled eggs or omelet. This made us feel as second class guests. The spa room for a massage is mouldy and smells. We got headaches when we entered because there is no ventilation. The more expensive rooms are next to the yoga chala so more noisy than the rooms with a balcony. To us it did not make sense why these rooms are more expensive.
