A piece of bai paradise, ideal for someone looking for some peace and quiet.

Quiet, peaceful, spacious and cozy.

Room was a bit tighter than expected. No writing desk or much space for bags, I had a junior suite. I’m not complaining here just noticing I paid less for lots more space, but this property makes up for it in other ways

The pool and food at the restaurant.

I am reviewing this hotel again - Badly - because I am disappointed that they tried to PERSUADE me via text after my stay to score them 9+. This is NOT how you do business. You do not fabricate your scores to get people to stay - I use the scoring system religiously to choose my accommodation (& I work in hotels!) so doing this is not ethical, fair or moral! So don't trust the scores as they are likely not real!

I Wouldn't Stay Here Again

The pool was lovely. And the restaurant was nice. Bed was comfortable and I slept well. It was nice to be so close to the rice fields as well.

The room had a damp smell. The shower water had a weird smell too. The staff were pleasant enough but didn't feel them to be warm & welcoming. I feel like they don't like their job. It's a bit far from anything too - both Ubud but even local restaurants and cafes are a 40min walk.

Quiet Oasis outside busy Ubud

Overall we had a great time at Arya Villas. We wanted a central location to visit various parts of the island but didn't want to be in the congestion of Ubud. Arya is located just outside Ubud on a quiet rice paddy, but the hotel offers a shuttle service several times a day to go into town. We loved the peaceful location, and the grounds, and the staff were incredibly attentive and friendly. Our bungalow was beautiful and comfortable and the outdoor bathroom/shower was awesome. We ate many meals at Arya and all were delicious. The only problems we encountered revolved around the congestion and traffic that is endemic to Bali now. Our shuttle pickup was delayed because of traffic, but they did message us that they were running late. We hired a driver a couple days to see other parts of the island, and the traffic congestion was frustrating but nothing to do with the hotel. It was VERY nice to return to the oasis of the quite resort after being out in the hustle and bustle.

Beautiful out of town small resort with great staff

The nature was abundant, the staff were wonderful, the food was great - very accomodating for vegans, the bed was comfy and bathroom nice. It was about £3 taxi to town. Padel and gym across the road.

The AC is needed and thus noisy. The TV channels didn't work.

Quiet part of Ubud, rice fields, good spa area

Beautiful place, wonderful hotel, swimming pool overlooking the rice fields, interesting bathroom, small temple on the hotel grounds. really enjoyed the massage

The facilities and cleanliness need to be improved.

The public garden is amazing. The restaurant and public pool have a beautiful view of the rice fields. In addition, staffs are friendly & nice.

The facilities in the room are quite old & only fairly clean. It might be due to the humid local weather — the quilt feels damp and has a musty smell. The toilets, in particular, are not clean — there are stains left on the toilet lids. In addition, my husband’s eyes became irritated after he swam in the private pool.

Decent spot, Excellent staff

The team here is incredibly kind, attentive, proactive and helpful. Check in and out were smooth and effortless. They even inquired with me before the breakfast window ended to be sure I didn't want anything.

The location of my room was right next to a scooter road and a pretty noisy. For the price, I think there are better options in Ubud depending on what you're looking for. While you're near rice fields here you're also near traffic and the setting didn't feel as natural as I was expecting.

Tranquil and welcoming stay in luxurious surroundings.

The induction was very detailed, which was hard to absorb with a late check-in, but appreciated. The staff were exceptionally helpful and the inclusions made everything easy. The complementary afternoon tea was great too.

The distance to the centre of town was challenging, especially after the main bridge was damaged in recent floods. This is not the fault of the villas though.

Amazing

Amazing exp, nicest staff. Even allowed me to dance w a local dancer performing dance during a dinner xD. Nature including many ponds, fish, and full vegetation in the whole complex is unbelievable, as well as the sounds of nature in the evenings. Quiet area, shops are 5min walk, abt 8min walk to gym and new padel court complex

Beautiful retreat in Ubud

Lovely accommodation with beautiful views. Pool was lovely and clean (both private pool and shared one) Staff were very friendly and helpful throughout. Lovely location for walks through the beautiful countryside. Loved the afternoon tea!

Location is a bit out of Ubud. This suited us as it was quieter. Depends on what you want. They had a shuttle bus to the centre and Goals were cheap

A peaceful and memorable stay with outstanding service and thoughtful details throughout.

The staff were incredible from start to finish. The Balinese cooking class led by the chef was a real highlight—it was absolutely delicious and so authentic. The reception team were friendly and efficient, the cleaning staff kept everything spotless, and the restaurant team was incredibly attentive—my husband asked for extra hot coffee once, and they remembered it for the rest of our stay! The complimentary yoga class and the free shuttle to Ubud city centre were lovely touches that made our experience even better.

A lovely and peaceful boutique hotel in the heart of padi fields.

Beautiful and peaceful location among the padi fields. Lovely walks to take. A 20 min ride to ubud centre. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Food at the restaurant is good. Varied breakfast everyday. And enough different dishes on the menu to choose from. Spa is very good. Worth trying.

The wooden huts were dark inside and a little musty. The bed and pillows could use a bit of airing. Otherwise, the room is clean and well maintained. Bathroom is outdoor and very Balinese. It is clean and well maintained. However as the flooring is covered in small loose pebbles with uneven slate slabs, sitting at the toilet bowl and standing by the vanity basin is quite uncomfortable. Would have been good to cement those areas.

We lived it so much that we didn’t want to leave

The staff were very helpful and polite. Food and entertainment was good.

There was no mirror in the bedroom. It would be helpful to have a mirror especially if 2 are sharing a room. These were loads of ants in the bathroom and we were bitten and very was itchy. Perhaps some ant spray will stop the ant issue. Apart from this everything was excellent. Thank you

A wonderful hotel with exceptionally friendly staff.

Very hospitable staff with wonderful attention to detail. The facilities are so nice. Our room was lovely with a comfortable bed and nice bathroom. The pool is nice and has a lovely view. Very nice breakfast. All in all the hotel felt like a peaceful haven away from the business of Ubud.

Beautiful boutique hotel set out of central Ubud in a village surrounded by rice paddies. The staff were beyond exceptional, nothing too much trouble and so friendly, caring & lovely. Food at the restaurant is also very, very good.

Location is a bit out of the way from central Ubud & the traffic can be very bad, which makes it feel a lot longer. There isn’t much close to the hotel, which for us was fine for a short stay.

The property was really good. Clean rooms and bathrooms. Nice restaurant and service. The food options were many and the taste was delicious. We enjoyed the singer at the restaurant at night on our last day of the trip and had fun.

Gorgeous stay in Ubud

What an incredible location. Such a dream. We absolutely loved our stay here, that it was peaceful and quiet out of town, but still a close drive into the action. The included breakfast was delicious, and the staff absolutely gorgeous, so kind and helpful. Special shoutout to Ayu and Tiara, the girls at front desk. Thanks so much for our stay :)

Had a very good time. Location is perfect. Far enough from the crowds but close enough to take a cab or scooter to the city centre. Staff were very friendly and accommodating. special mention of Deaya, Virnanda and Edo. They made our stay very comfortable and attended to all our needs. Would love to come back if possible

Nice hotel with room for improvement

Friendly staff, comfortable and clean rooms. Great free shuttle into central Ubud and breakfast very generous. The pool was very nice with great views over the padi fields. Great local restaurant on main street for fried chicken.

The price of food and drink, especially after 21% tax, is added to everything. A small Bintang ended up being 66, which is far more expensive than anywhere else we've seen in Bali. If prices were a little more reasonable, we would have spent a lot more at the hotel. The fridge in the room didn't get very cold. Plenty of staff however lacking attention to detail with empty bottles, towels, and plates not cleared away for a whole day.

The place that helped to fall in love with Bali and its people.

Excellent and quiet location from bustling Ubud and busy streets. The facilities were superb - the villas, the restaurant, the pool and the spa. The staff was friendly, always smiling and extremelly helpful. After a week being with them they started to be like a part of our family. The service overall is on the next level. Highly recommend for family vacation.
