Charming resort by the river and jungle close to Ubud - best customer service and friendly staff!

Highly recommend this resort and have a lovely stay - Santi and Dewi and the rest of the staff treat you like family, welcoming you with open arms and always asking what your day looks like and offering to assist in any way. I booked last minute as I had an issue with a precious accommodation being surrounded by noisy construction. This is a gorgeous, well maintained resort tucked away in a peaceful spot by the river and the forest - right near Ubud (7-10 minutes scooter or 15-20 min taxi). Very clean and modern but also has the Ubud and traditional Bali charm. They did everything to make me comfortable and feel at home. I received a lovely water blessing upon arrival and I was sad to leave! Amazing value and would stay again for sure! I hope to be back very soon! :)

Small thing - I personally found the bed to be too firm for me and had trouble staying asleep / tossed and turned a lot but that’s a personal preference as some don’t like too soft beds either. Bed and suite was huge and blankets and pillows comfy and the team will do anything to try to make your stay more comfortable, including bringing me a fan and immediately checking in on me if any concerns.

A wonderful short break.

I appreciated the staff the most—very attentive, helpful and kind. I loved the view and how relaxing the place felt (I definitely appreciated no music, sounds of nature). Stunning vew from the balcony.

It's a matter of individual preference, but I'd prefer a stronger coffee at breakfast and a way to refill the water bottles whenever I want without having to ask the staff.

Tranquil.

This resort was absolutely amazing. I picked it purely on reviews and location and because it had a sauna. The staff were phenomenal, Santi at reception felt like a mother in a warm hug. All the staff knew me by name. I had plenty of treatments booked outside of the resort and I cancelled them so I could relax by the pool and had in house treatments. They were divine. The infinity pool was just stunning. Perched up on the ledge and listening to the sound of the running river was priceless. Wasn’t too far on a bike into town, and so cheap. Would even order gogek food to relax on the balcony.

The only downfalls were the cleaning wasn’t up to my standard with some hair still on the ground from other guests and the sauna takes an hour to turn on so you need to know in advance when you want to use it. The bed was a little bit firm for my comfort and the blinds didn’t block out the morning sunlight, but it wasn’t too much of a big deal. I’d definitely stay there again despite that.

Excellent location for a busy week of diving

Spectacular location to everything - restaurants, port, snorkeling beach. Massive bungalow with outside walled shower. Comfy bed, linen, towels provided for beach too. Staff always v warm and friendly. No hard sell to eat/use all facilities.

AC was undersized but did the job if you left running 24/7. Would love to see a bit of upgrade to the beachside furniture/styling. Such a good location but just a bit tired. Pool was mostly taken up by next door diving centre during the hours we may have wanted to use it. Even then it wasn’t v inviting for lack of poolside furniture.

My stay was absolutely fabulous. It’s a super tranquil place to relax and enjoy a nice massage. The staff was great helping me with everything I needed. If you’re looking for a nice and intimate getaway from the bustling city centre this is the place to go.

Peaceful jungle retreat with wonderful staff! Kayuan Lumbung Resort was the final stop of our holiday, and it couldn’t have been better. After lots of sun, sea, and activities, we wanted a peaceful jungle experience — and this was exactly it! The huts are beautiful, with comfortable beds and a great shower. The staff are incredibly kind, from the blessing during check-in to carrying our luggage up the stairs to the rooms and everything in between. It’s not a commercial or pushy kind of place — by the pool nobody comes around constantly to take orders. Honestly, that was quite relaxing, though sometimes you do feel like ordering something. Thankfully, WhatsApp with the reception worked perfectly and Ana was always quick to respond. From the second day on, they even came by to check on us without asking. They quickly learn your preferences and anticipate them the next day — so thoughtful! We spent three relaxing days at the pool, only leaving once in the afternoon since we had already done most activities in Ubud. The hotel even did my laundry so I could pack everything clean into the suitcase for home — a true luxury for any mom! And the highlight: lying by the pool and watching monkeys in the trees across the valley. Simply fantastic. If you’re looking for peace, nature, and authentic Balinese warmth, this is the place.

Excellent comfortable and quiet resort to stay!

Very nice resort surrounded by nature, pictures are accurate. Facilities are high quality and clean, restaurant is very good and the included breakfast had 5 or 6 delicious options to pick from. Staff were amazingly attentive and kind.

The price to pay for this calm nature retreat is being quite remote from town and you'll need transportation for anything; well worth it in my opinion. We had a slight issue with the shower not working after a rainfall but the staff fixed it right away.

A peaceful, restful and cultural stay with welcoming and kind staff.

We had such an amazing 3 nights at this peaceful resort. This was our first resort for our first time in Bali and what a beautiful place to start our holiday! As soon as we arrived, we were greeted by friendly and kind staff who gave us a blessing and a delicious green juice before we got taken to our room. We loved hearing the sound of the river flowing and slept so well every night due to the serenity. I had two beautiful massages done by Sinta. The oils she used made my skin feel so soft and I felt very relaxed. I also loved the delicious tea afterwards. My husband had his first massage here and he thoroughly enjoyed it! The view was stunning and we could lie on the pool deck for hours. Santi, Dewi and their team go above and beyond to make you feel welcome and cared for. We were greeted everyday with smiles and anything we needed, they organised for us. We miss the resort already and the warm staff already!

More than amazing

The staff was amazing. Octe in the restaurant was very kind. The first day I mentioned I didn't like sugar, and the whole week, he made sure to ask my bowl without sugar :) He was on training, and I really hope the hotel makes him permanent. Redi was also kind. Santi and Dewi at the reception took care of us very well. The attention is beyond good. The breakfast was complete and tasty. The massages in the spa 10/10 The views from the restaurant and room. In the morning you can see monkeys. Everything was great.

The staff are so incredibly friendly and warm. The property is absolutely beautiful, the outlook is literal paradise, the sound of the running stream beside the property and the birds makes it all so peaceful. The spa and treatments were heaven. We really enjoyed The Kayuan Lumbur.

There was often no hot water in the shower. It would take quite a long time to heat up and if my friend showered first, I would then have no hot water.

Peaceful. At one with nature!

While the road to the hotel was a bit questionable, the resort was exceeded our expectations! It felt like we were the only ones there but we knew we weren't. It was so peaceful. The food was great. The staff was amazing. Felt at peace at this resort.

Not that we really needed it, we did miss having a tv as background noise at night (this was not a romantic stay for us).

Great food, great service, lovely staff. Lovely pool. Had a massage there and it was really good. So close to Ubud but yet a little oasis on the edge of the city. The road up to it is very narrow and a bit off putting but that shouldn’t put anyone off as this place is worth the trip.

Very serene and peaceful. The rooms were very clean and the staff were very attentive! We enjoyed our quiet afternoons enjoying the jacuzzi and the pool.

It was very nice but it was a little far from the center of Ubud if you’re looking for a place where you can walk around and access restaurants and shops nearby. The lack of side walks makes it difficult to walk and explore the area.

This property has a lot of potential but is not yet at the level of a so called Resort.

There are some really nice aspects to the facilities. There are healthy and vegan options on the menu and the jacuzzi is really lovely once it gets hot enough. It’s also nice that they have a sauna although there are some issues with it. The location by the river is beautiful, very serene and quiet at night if you are in one of the lower rooms located near the river. The design and decor of the rooms is nice as well. The swimming pool also has a great view of the river and across to the monkey forest. The rooms are clean, fresh drinking water is provided and the driver they recommend was friendly and offered airport pick up in a nice vehicle. Some of the staff members are very nice as well.

Other staff members are in need of additional training. I was very surprised when one staff member knocked on my door repeatedly to ask me some random question disturbing my rest, rather than text me via WhatsApp while they had my number already. Also be aware that the sauna and jacuzzi are not kept on. If you want to use them you have to let them know in advance and then wait around an hour for them to heat up and the staff will them pressure you to use them quickly so that they can turn them off again. It’s seems like electricity usage is their concern rather than guests’ ease. They are also unwilling to keep the Sauna at a higher heat level and there are lots of ants around the jacuzzi and at the restaurant as well. Don’t expect espresso drinks as they don’t have a machine, it’s only Bali coffee that’s available. Also most importantly if you need to work while you’re there you should be aware that the WiFi is very slow and unreliable. There is also construction affecting the noise levels in the rooms located higher up on the property.

Houd er rekening mee dat je veel trappen moet lopen . Als voordeel dat het uitzicht super is op Monkey Forest. Taxi is echt nodig . 12 minuten . Niet te lopen . Ontbijt was oké . Maar niet verrassend en kan echt beter . Spraken slecht Engels waardoor er dingen fout gingen.

Очень милый персонал ,мне кажется самый милый ,что я встречала на Бали. Потрясающая природа ,ощущение ,что находишься в заповеднике. Чистые и просторные номера ,шикарные большие балконы. Локация супер ,тихо спокойно ,но в нескольких км есть все нужные магазины ,еще ближе классная падел студия.Очень нравится ,что не нужно выезжать в центр Убуда с пробками,в паре километров есть очень модное кафе RUSTERS,благодаря нему и нашли случайно этот отель. Завтраки нам понравились ,смузи из огурца просто любовь.Но не стоит рассчитывать на больший ассортимент завтраков как в системе «Шведский стол» Из пожеланий ,только если тратить электричество на сауну ,то тогда нужна более мощная печь ,потому что так разница с улицей 10-15 С ,для людей с северных стран это слабо)

Все было просто восхитительно ,только немного сложный подъезд вечером на байке по деревенской дороге в сезон дождей ,но очень маленький отрезок

Brak wykwalifikowanej obsługi w restauracji. Słaba jakość jedzenia. Ubogie śniadanie. Mało owoców ( cienkie plasterki ananasa jak kartka papieru), dopłata za capuccino na śniadanie. Brak ostrzeżenia o agresywnych małpach które przychodziły do obiektu. Hotel położony ok 15 min od centrum. Jakość bardzo nie adekwatna do ceny. Hotel na pewno nie dla dzieci.

Un lugar maravilloso

Realmente, nos gustó todo: habitación, vistas, piscina, jacuzzi, desayuno, comida y cena, masaje, junto con muy buena localización para excursiones por toda la isla. Sin lugar a dudas, el trato del personal fue extraordinario. Disfrutamos de una gran tranquilidad y calma, y siempre lo recordaremos. Muy recomendable!

服務非常好！透過whatsapp與酒店團隊溝通，幾乎是有求必應，所有員工都很親切，即便英語不好也會盡力提供協助。我們住了三晚，試了三款早餐都很美味，因為不想被蚊子咬，雖然有點不好意思，還是請求員工送餐上房，然而他們都沒有抱怨或表示不耐煩。Spa絕對是性價比之選！值得一試。泳池、按摩池都很棒，白天或晚上各有不同享受。雖然沒有機會試上瑜珈課，但開揚的上課空間看上去很不錯。入住時的welcome drink和welcome ceremony既窩心又可愛。

不至於不喜歡，僅供其他客人參考： 1. 必須繞路往返酒店和烏布市區。好處是遠離煩囂，壞處是交通不便利，尤其進出酒店的那段路，每次都忍不住跟司機說聲抱歉…… 2. 房間裡沒有電視（好好享受寧靜和美景吧）。 3. 床墊和枕頭稍微有一點軟。 4. 位於聖猴森林旁邊，隔河相望，在房間以外範圍記得做足防蚊措施。

В этом отеле было абсолютно все на 100 из 10. Безумно доброжелательный и приветливый персонал, готовый в любой момент прийти на помощь. Очень вкусная кухня по адекватным ценам в ресторане (сравнивали с ресторанами Убуда и других частей острова), просто великолепные завтраки а-ля карт. Бунгало очень стильное, большое и красивое с огромным балконом и видом на джунгли и реку, есть сейф, чисто, убираются каждый день. В номере есть все необходимое - шампуни, зубные щетки и пр. как в пятизвездочном отеле. Территория очень красивая, великолепный Инфинити бассейн, хороший массаж. Место уединенное, но до Убуда недалеко на такси, и даже возможно дойти пешком. Нам настолько тут понравилось, что вообще не хотелось уезжать.
