Lovely stay- nice and cosy and perfect for two people with everything you need. Great location.

Facilities inside are great and has everything you need- Bed very cosy and lovely chair and table outside to have a morning tea or coffee- Enjoyed our stay here.

It wasnt as clean as I'd have liked, bedding was clean but under the bed and in the cupboards and drawers where the utensils were needing a good clean. We only really slept there so it didn't bother us too much but it would have been nicer if it had just been a bit cleaner. We also read a welcoming pack with milk and eggs were included so I didnt take any but we didn't get those on either arrival or our 1st morning, shop was pretty close though so not a big problem

Useful basic stopover on our cycling tour.

Had own breakfast. I liked the working farm with Herdwick flock. There was all we needed in the "dollywagon'".

In such limited accommodation (a tiny caravan) options are limited.

Perfect

Everything from arriving at the Dolly Wagon, nestled in the incredible scenery with second to none backdrop. The facilities, area, Dolly herself were just perfect, easy to find and all in all the ideal stay for a relaxing night away. The host was friendly and nothing was too much trouble for her, her little dogs super friendly. Keswick not too far and a pub just down the road. Perfect for couples, families (i am going back with my kids) or even on your own as a solo traveller.... just perfect. Thank you.

Perfect Peace

This cosy little wagon is an absolute dream. Wonderful location, more or less at the base of Helvellyn. If you want a re-set, then this is your place. Surrounded by the comforting sounds of a working farm and being joined by chickens whilst sat outside enjoying the views was just lovely. Toilets were clean and the shower is absolutely what you'd expect as it's a shared shower. Do take some £1 coins to operate the shower. Louise, the owner, was lovely, helpful and chatty. Kindly left some fresh eggs and milk which was a lovely touch.

There's nothing to dislike about this place, basic but well equipped.

We enjoyed our time in the Dolly Wagon and would recommend it for access to key towns in the Lakes.

The hut had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The views from the hut were lovely and Louise had left us some fresh farm goods which was a bonus. We were there in lambing season so it was great to wake up to new lambs playing in the field every morning.

Could have been cleaner - some of the pots needed cleaning and hadn’t been dried properly before putting away so we needed to wash them before use. There was also some debris that wasn’t from us under the bed so this obviously hadn’t been checked for cleanliness. Shower facilities were what you would expect for a shared cubicle. You will need pound coins to operate the shower cubicle (£1 for 5 mins). We weren’t aware of this before arriving so had to go to the local pub to ask for some change before we could use the shower.

Welcomed onto a family farm. Sheep, lamb, dogs, cows, chickens on site. Beautiful surroundings, lady on the farm was chatty and lovely. Had the best weekend.

Avoid This Property – Filthy & Misleading

booked a two-night stay expecting a clean and comfortable experience but was met with severe hygiene and maintenance issues. The outdoor furniture was broken, covered in mold, and misrepresented in the listing. Inside, the property was shockingly unclean—dirty refrigerator, microwave, and kettle, along with used, unsanitary sponges. The bedding had long hairs from a previous guest, which was unacceptable. Due to the poor conditions, I had to leave the morning after my first night and find alternative accommodation. This stay was deeply disappointing and not worth the cost. Avoid at all costs!

Amazing staff host was amazing pointing out local walk including an infinity pool a 20 min walk away. Cabin was lovely and snug. No wifi so bring games and download some movies. Location is stunning well worth a visit

Good introduction to glamping. Ideal location. Glad it was dry.

Location ideal for the mountains, a bit close to a busy road, next to a field of newborn lambs. The owner was helpful and informative. The hut was cute and adequate, but obviously small. ideal for a couple of dry days.

Toilet facilities were adequate. It was a good job it didn't rain as there was no storage in the hut and we had to keep everything in the car.

Louise was a lovely laid back and friendly host. The little hut had everything we needed, it was super cute and toasty warm. The location was beautiful and everywhere we wanted to go was really easily accessible. Toilet and shower were clean and tidy, if a little far for the middle of the night, but I think that’s what you have to expect on campsites - so more my issue than a problem!

Romantic hut. Warm room considering how cold it is at the moment. Small kitchen inc fridge hobs, sink cups and pots. Breakfast extra charge - worth it! Shower you need a quid to operate but understandable why.

4 nights camping in a shepherds hut

Lovely little hut, very cosy with everything you need for a short stay. Louise was very friendly and helpful. The area is beautiful and has easy access to many areas of the Lakes.

The road is quite noisy although it's over a field. Otherwise there was nothing to not like. Staying in the shepherds hut is like very comfortable camping, which is great.
