Romantic castle close to Utah Beach - a dream

Marvellous castle just 5 min drive off the famous Utah Beach (D-Day). Host was brilliant and very responsive also verzellt welcoming, felt like a part of his Family. Breakfast was delicious (baguettes and croissants from the nearby bakery). The castle itself it’s a dream, lot of charm and a wonderful garden to explore (it is actually more a park than a garden… ). Thank you Rainier for having us.

One should be aware that there is the old chateau - but the side wings are new. So if you prefer „atmosphere“ you should go for the old building.

We had the most perfect stay here and so much looking forward to returning here next year, the chateau is stunning, breakfast is wonderful, the room was beautiful and clean. The owners went above and beyond to make our stay perfect, we celebrated our engagement here too. We loved it and highly recommended a stay here.

Beautiful property with stunning backgrounds. Felt so welcome when we first arrived. Breakfast was fantastic, lots of fresh selections. Rooms were clean as well.

The location is great. Peaceful and close enough to al the beaches. The owner was very very helpful, you could ask her anything and she would do her very best to help you out.

Lovely stay in a beautiful historic chateau

Lovely hotel in a quiet area but 10 minutes walk from a buzzing beach restaurant. The manager Laetitia spoke perfect English and was really friendly and nothing too much trouble. She text ahead of our arrival and offered to book us in at the local restaurant which was reasonably priced and great food and location. There is a good size swimming pool and lovely gardens which guests are free to use. Hot drinks are available all day in the breakfast room and can be taken onto the terrace to enjoy the surroundings. Tea and coffee making facilities in the room too. Breakfast was great with lots of choice. We had a room in the building to the side of the chateau which was spacious and windows looking out onto the front courtyard. The room was cheaper than the chateau rooms but really nice. We will definitely be back. Thank you

Beautiful, peaceful setting ., lovely grounds .. Amazing fresh breakfast although this was extra it was well worth it . The owners were very friendly and nothing seemed too much trouble…There was a coffee machine in the Chateau which you could help yourself to , whenever you wished..

One of the reasons we booked this accommodation was we wanted chill around the pool, unfortunately the pool was closed as we arrived in very hot weather this was a disappointment , plus no fridge in room ..

Such a beautiful setting for a weekend break in France. Very close to the main tourist attractions but peaceful. The hosts are friendly and pointed us to the lesser known sights in the area

The shower took along time to drain so we had to wait to take showers but the bathroom had everything you needed

An overall outstanding stay!

The breakfast was delicious! I loved the history of the whole area. The building was outstanding and I loved the whole 'chateau' experience. Coming from New Zealand we have nothing like this at home. Wandering around the near by town and museum was fabulous. The beach was beautiful as were the local food places. The staff were exceptional!

Things in the small town were closed, it was good to do some research before you travel here, but the staff were so very helpful and kind and it all worked out well in the end.

An unexpected jewel..a treasure!

We loved the architecture and historical nature of the building and the sympathetic way in which it is being restored. The setting provided a quiet retreat from the world. We were welcomed warmly on our arrival by Emma and enjoyed our conversation with the owners the next morning who were so enthusiastic about their plans and were so obviously working hard in achieving them. We wish them every success and we will return!

Finding the hotel was hindered by the lack of good signs but this lends to the feeling that you're discovering a secret!
