Old Fisherman

Great location with amazing view from the balcony and only a short walk to old town of Ulcinij. The owner was super nice and helpful, one of the friendliest people I met on my trip :). She gave good restaurant recommendations, too.

The room is very bright, even at night as the curtains don’t keep the light out at all. I already have the advice to the owner to buy some dark curtains as this problem can so easily be solved so I am sure she will take care of it. It was difficult to find the apartment as the houses don’t have numbers and Google maps takes you too far up the street the one way road and then you can’t come back (unless you either break the rules or go around the whole city again). Also this can be solved easily buy sending the customers upfront the exact location and a more accurate description.

i had a great stay here. loved ulcinj and it was a really comfortable apartment for me (solo traveller). there’s also a very good restaurant right below, and a small market about 10 seconds away. my favourite beach in montenegro (albatros) is about 10 minutes’ walk through the pine forest to the east of the town.

Noemi, her mum Lila, dad and brother Emro are truly wonderful people and hosts. They know all there is to know about Ulcinj and its surrounding area and do everything they can to make you feel comfortable. I was travelling with my teenage kids (aged 17 and 15) and the spacious three bed apartment suited us very well as it allowed each of us a minimum of privacy. Besides, we could both use the balcony of the apartment and the lovely common terrace outside. My son is quite tall so he particularly appreciated the fact that there was no board at the foot of the beds.

From July 10 to August 25 a disco without walls close to the Mala Plaza entertains downtown Ulcinj every night between 9.00 and 1 a.m. I could have done without the music, but If you are into partying, this is the right place to stay – my teenagers loved being close to the beach promenade buzzing with life around the many bars.
