The amenities: Full kitchen, washing machines Large apartment size Location was slightly out of the main area which was good because it was quiet

They used bleach to clean the bathroom which had a very strong smell when we arrived The split system in the bedroom was old and so was quite loud. You couldn’t leave it running at night which then made the room hot

Perfect Apartment 👌

Detailed instructions on how to find the apartment from the train station. Spacious and well equipped kitchen and bathroom. Angela met us at the apartment and explained how everything worked. Loved the guide books - helped us plan a wonderful walking tour. Great location, quiet with lovely local restaurants.

We were hot and exhausted when we arrived, something cold to drink or a snack on hand would have been great.

Very nice a comodatu

Location was great for me. Out of the way from the crowds, short walk to water taxi. The host Angela was very helpful and responsive to our requests.

Large and clean apartment, but would recommend staying closer to city centre for tourists

The host was responsive, the apartment was large and clean, and the kitchen was fully stocked with utensils etc

The location was much more inconvenient than we had previously anticipated (10-15 minute walk to the nearest ferry station and 40+ minute walk from the main attractions). Besides a handful of cafes nearby, the area is quite empty and very residential. We had to collect our own garbage and either hand it to the garbagemen at 9am every morning or throw it away ourselves 10 minutes away). The apartment AC is controlled by the host and so the apartment was at 24.7+ degrees (they wouldn't turn it down and told us to use the bedroom one), and the bedroom AC had to be turned off before midnight so we couldn't sleep with the AC on. There is a washing machine but we had to buy our own detergent.

Immaculate, well appointed apartment with a wonderful host

The apartment was immaculately clean and well appointed. You could cook easily; there were medical and sanitary supplies; many food items/tea/coffee were included. It’s in a very quiet part of the city which is preferable to the crowded tourist centre. There are bars and shops close by. Angela was incredibly helpful and hospitable, especially when a transport strike meant we were stuck in Venice for a night longer than we expected. She had even bought balloons for our small daughter. If we come to Venice again we would stay here again without hesitation.

Wonderful apartment in wonderful Venice

We travel a lot, but for the first time we lived in such a wonderful apartment on a trip. The apartment is not only beautiful, large and comfortable, but everything is provided for travelers. The kitchen has everything you need: dishwasher, coffee, olive oil, salt, spices, sugar (you don't need to buy all this yourself for a few days), and Angela, a wonderful hostess, put jam and butter for the first breakfast. The bathroom has it all: shower, bidet, washing machine, Jacuzzi with a selection of salt (where you can relax after a Venetian day walks), and even cosmetics to cleanse your skin. And what beautiful chandeliers and furniture in this apartment! You will want to quickly remove your suitcases from a prominent place so that they do not spoil this beauty. All equipment is in working condition. I highly recommend this apartment!

Lovely apartment in a good area

The apartment was immaculate, very clean and well equipped. The area has a great vibe with restaurants, bars and supermarkets. Ideal for a solo traveller, couples or families. The owner was very helpful. I really enjoyed my stay.

Amazing apartment, great location

The apartment is beautiful, it has been done really well. Angela has thought of every little detail. She has put extra little bits from toothpaste to DVDs to watch. Everything was spotlessly clean and mad up perfectly. Angela was there to greet us, explained everything and let us in early. She also let us stay a little later as she didn't have any arrivals the following day. She was available on the phone if we needed anything. There was also WiFi and some small food bits to get you started. It is located just outside the busy centre meaning that it is peaceful and quiet and doesnt take long to get to the centre by foot. Everything was great, I will be back. Thanks Angela 😊.

A jewel of a rental appartement

My partner and I simply loved this place. We are frequent travelers and have stayed in numerous Hotels and appartements all over the world, and this one stands out. it was super clean, fully equipped with everything you might need, the host is very friendly and helpful. The location is nice as it is a little secluded from the main tourist attractions which gives you a nice taste of a calm local neighborhood while remaining easily accessible from all the main attractions of the city (practically everything within 20 to 35 mins range walking or by public transportation. We will definitely be looking forward to stay here again and highly recommend it above any 4 star hotel in Venice!

An authentic stay in a spacious and comfy apartment off the beaten tourist path

If you would like an authentic “live like a local” experience in Venice, this is the place for you! Located in the Dorsoduro neighborhood, you will be surrounded by university students and local cafes, pizza shops, bakeries and markets. The apartment is tucked back on a quiet alley, yet right around the corner from a canal. Very picturesque and charming. Domus Dea is plenty spacious with great storage and fairly well-equipped kitchen. There is excellent light, because the windows are HUGE. We loved opening and closing the shutters every day! The property was immaculate and renovated so up-to-date, while keeping the original gorgeous marble floor and Murano glass chandeliers.

We had trouble with the washing machine, which required a certain “jiggle” to unlock. The dryer wasn’t working so we had clothes hanging all over the place. This could be easily remedied by adding a clothes line; we would have enjoyed that, actually, as hanging laundry outside is part of every day life in Venice. Talk about authentic! We also found the American-style coffee pot did not brew well so we had to heat our brewed coffee in the microwave. Again, not a big problem for us and an easy fix.

Cozy flat in the student area of Venice

The owner took us from the busstation and guided us to the flat. Her communication was tremendous good and outstanding. She also considered very well the Covid19 protection rules, wearing a mask while introducing the flat and all functions of the equipment to us. The flat itself is as described and offers a lot of equipment you wouldn't even expect. The price is more than fair, everything is clean and cozy. You can see, that this flat has been equipped with a love for details.

You must be aware, that italian breakfast per definition is a coffee and a sweet cookie. So if you look for an accomodation offering breakfast as well, you may be surprised, that you will only be equipped with marmelade, coffee powder, some rusk and shrink wrapped cookies.

Schöne Wohnung im Stadtteil Dorsoduro, Venedig

Die Wohnung liegt in einem ruhigen Viertel von Venedig, abseits der Touristenstrom, und doch nicht weit vom Bahnhof. Wir haben eine Woche hier gewohnt. Die Wohnung ist sehr schön, sauber, modern eingerichtet und wir fanden alles, was wir brauchten, um einige Mahlzeiten zum Kochen. Es kommt keine direkte Sonne (Anfang April) in die Wohnung, aber die Beleuchtung ist gut.

Leider gab es in der Woche viel Lärm vom Stockwerk darüber wegen Renovierungsarbeiten. Wir fragten Angela, ob sie den Arbeitgeber bitten konnte, ob zumindest um die Mittagszeit—wenn wir müde von unserem Stadterkundungen waren—die Arbeitsleute ruhiger sein könnten. Es war dann tatsächlich ein paar Tage ruhiger. Uns wäre es allerdings lieber gewesen, VOR unsere Anreise vom Lärm informiert zu werden! Dann hätten wir anders überlegen können. Das Bett fanden wir zu hart. Ein Matratzen-Topper oder ähnliches würde eine grosse Hilfe sein.

Für mich: geht nicht besser in Venedig...

Wie schon im Juni 2022 bewertet: eine wunderbar gelegene und sehr gut eingerichtete und hervorragend ausgestattete Wohnung. Alles was in Venedig sehenswert ist ist leicht erreichbar. Die Wohnung liegt in einem Studentenviertel, daher sind die Cafés, Restaurants und Bars in der Nähe immer noch fair und nicht zu teuer. In der Nähe gibt es mehrere gut sortierte Einkaufsmöglichkeiten, gut zu Fuß zu erreichen. Alles in allem, wieder perfekt! Und wieder sicher nicht das letzte Mal..

Und wieder, wie schon im Juni 2022: da fällt mir wirklich nichts ein!!!
