Welcome to Lochaber Lodges, a development of self-catering lodges to rent in the heart of the Highlands of Scotland. Our family run site offers you all the personal touches for a great getaway in a stunning location, with the assurance of Visit Scotland 4 star accreditation. We are situated 7 miles from Fort William on the banks of the Caledonian Canal with uninterrupted views over Anoach Mor and Ben Nevis. Whether you are looking for a tranquil and relaxing break, or a base to experience the Outdoor Capital of the UK- this is the ideal location.

Our lodges are equipped to exceptional standards for year round occupancy, with double-glazing and central heating for the colder winter months, and external decking to enjoy the benefits of the long daylight hours in the summer. Our luxury lodges also includes flat screen TV/DVD to lounge and bedroom, integrated dishwasher and microwave, free WiFi access, and full washing and drying facilities.

The Lochaber Lodges are well equipped and are located in an idyllic rural setting overlooking the Caledonian Canal. The lodges are carefully set in the landscape with ample parking. Fort William, provides visitors with an excellent base from which to explore the Western Highlands and is just 15 minutes drive away. Fort William has essential shops and a good variety of restaurants too. A break at Lochaber Lodges will deliver peace and tranquillity for any stay.

The lodge was cozy and clean. The owners were friendly and helpful and the views onto Ben Nevis and the surrounding hills were glorious.

Quiet beautiful location (we were in cabin “Cull”). Clean, functional, full kitchen, comfy beds and living area. The view from the LR and front deck was really nice. Only minor complaints… couple of lights burned out in main bathroom and Netflix required the PIN of a previous tenant in order to use. A reset needed.

I had a beautiful holiday at Lochaber Lodges. The place is ideal for hiking or climbing tours in the surrounding highlands, you can bag several munros, at least Ben Nevis. You can also make forages to Malaig, Inverness or the impressive Isle of Skye. The lodges provide everything you need, are tidy, bright and arranged tastefully. stidyacoius and aspacoispspacious

Our family thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Lochabar Lodges! Our cottage was so comfy we almost didn’t want to leave. We enjoyed walking down by the Caledonian Canal and watching the boats go through the locks. The staff was so friendly and helpful whenever we needed something and gave some great recommendations for places to eat and things to do. We also utilized the laundry facilities which were clean and efficient. The views from the cottages are breathtaking. I will miss my morning coffee on the deck overlooking the misty mountains.

A wonderful stay in a superb location. The Lodge was clean and tidy and had all the necessities for a great time away from home. The views from the balcony were stunning (aided by fantastic weather). The property manager/s were knowledgeable and very helpful. Our only problem as a group of mid-70 year olds with ageing mobility problems, was the second bedroom was really quite small and awkward to move around. However, we would certainly recommend this property to anyone wanting fabulous views and peace and quiet. Thank you for a lovely stay.

The is a very clean, modern accommodation in a peaceful setting, with the sounds of birds, cows and sheep in the distance. The location is a bit removed from Fort William (about a 20 minute drive, including a single lane road for part of that distance). We didn't find that to be a problem if we planned properly for the day. The tranquil setting made the extra bit of driving worthwhile. The lodge is well organized in its layout, and quite well appointed. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and highly recommend this as a getaway.

We had a very nice stay for a week at the lodges! In the house is all that you need for a pleasant stay. We loved the view on the Ben Nevis. In the neighborhood are a lot of activities to do. We certainly recommend the place!

Comfortable, clean, modern accommodation with plenty of space and a balcony for sitting out in good weather. Communication with the property owner in advance of the stay was good and the check in process was both quick and friendly. The position is secluded with a view over the Nevis mountain range and this worked for us as we wanted a quiet home from home. We cooked for ourselves but if you prefer to eat out you would have to drive for this, probably into Fort William. Having said that there is easy access by car to all the attractions of the area. I would definitely recommend this to someone who is looking for a quiet comfortable stay.

We really enjoyed our stay at Lochaber Lodges. Our lodge was clean, well equipped and spacious. The drive up to the vacation rental is a bit long and the road is partially pretty narrow, but the view you get when you step out on the terrace of your lodge definately makes up for it! Very friendly hosts as well that really work towards making your stay as enjoyable as possible!

Would thoroughly recommend this lodge for anyone looking to explore the amazing landscape Scotland has to offer. Equally this lodge was perfect for the chilled relaxed few days we needed. From start to finish the staff could not of been more helpful. The lodge was spotless, very well stocked, large and spacious. The views are amazing with Ben Nevis in the background. This lodge would be suitable for couples, friends and families and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend to anyone. Well worth a visit!

Booking process was quick and easy with excellent communication. We had a lovely break in beautiful surroundings and some day trips to Oban, Fort William, Fort Augustus and Inverness. The cabin was spotless and very well equipped. We will definitely visit again and would recommend to anyone looking for a perfect peaceful getaway :)
