About this house rental

The property can sleep 11 in the main house (4 bedrooms and a sofa bed) and 5 in the annexe (2 bedrooms plus folding bed).

Note: We offer a 22% long stay discount for reservations of 7 days or more.

Milestone has been our happy family home for 11 years, full of family, love and life. It's truly unique with a cottage feel but with large rooms and modern appliances.

In the main house there are 4 double bedrooms (2 with en suites). Two bedrooms can be twins plus a single folding bed if required. There is also a sofa bed down stairs if needed.

The orangery is stunning with an incredible home cinema and grand piano. The kitchen table seats 6 but there is ample outside seating for 10+ during summer months. The dining room table seats 8 comfortably and with the extension seats 12 max.

The annexe can be made available for groups of more than 10 (excluding infants). The annexe can sleep up to 5, there are two twin bedrooms upstairs and one downstairs. If you have 10 or less people (excluding infants) and would like to book the annexe as well, you may do so for an extra £150/night. If you would like to use the sauna (in the annexe) you may do so for an extra £150. We can also offer an early checkin late checkout extension for £20 per person subject to availability.

We welcome family and friend reunions and corporate teams wanting a special intimate space. This is not a party house and we do ask that you respect our neighbours and keep noise to conversational level after 10.30pm so no loud music please.

Guest access:
We have lock boxes for the keys and electronic oak gates. We will send you the codes before you arrive.

Interaction with guests:
We are available by phone 24/7 but most likely will not meet. If we are not away when you stay we may be in one of the private log cabins on the property.

Other things to note:
The home cinema is only usable after dark because of the glass roof. There is a 42" TV and DVD/Blu-ray player in the snug. One of the bedrooms also has a TV/DVD available and another bedroom has a TV.

There is NO BBQ, you are welcome to bring your own or bring disposable BBQs.

Please only book if you and your group are committed to the house rules. It's important that you leave the place tidy and on time because we are likely to have another large group arriving at 3pm on your day of departure.

Wanted somewhere with a feeling of space to get the extended family all together for a Christmas break. House was perfect, spacious and everything we needed. Great TV room btw!!!

The property is as described in the details - 4 double bedrooms in the main house and two additional bedrooms in the annexe. The owners were extremely helpful and very kind people. We had my elderly mother staying with us and she stayed in the annexe as there is the possibility of making the downstairs area into a bedroom. There is a walk way around the annexe to the main house so no steps which made all the difference. The house is a bit tired and could benefit from some redecoration but the beds are comfortable and the kitchen very well stocked and a great communal lounge for allowing large groups to come together and a large dining room. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would have liked to spend a little more time there to explore the local area - Winchcombe is just a few minutes away by car and about a 20 min walk

Beautiful house and garden
Beautiful house and garden
Spacious cosy well equipped property, comfortable beds, great showers. Steam train at bottom of garden which was fun. Could do with an instruction booklet in the house ( as although instruction videos good) couldn’t work out how to turn on fire in large sitting room.

Comfortable Stay
Comfortable Stay
We enjoyed our short break at the big Cotswold Cottage and found the owners to be very amenable. We were a little disappointed with the location, as we found ourselves having to reverse out onto a main road and the view at the back of the property was spoiled by works vehicles. The amenities at the cottage were good and fit for purpose except the fridge which was difficult to open and close and didn’t seem to keep the food very chilled. Overall, the accommodation is ample and the hosts were keen to ensure we had what we needed.

Great family reunion location
Great family reunion location
A superb, private space with lots of flexible accommodation and all beds were particularly comfortable. The separate annexe allows for useful separation for larger groups. The garden is an absolute haven made all the better for the character of the steam train that passes infrequently at the bottom. Group sizes beyond 8 are challenged for group dining space all together.

A nice stay let down by hassle after the event
A nice stay let down by hassle after the event
Stayed for a weekend with some friends for a 40th birthday and Eurovision party. Positives: > A lovely location with garden backing onto the steam railway. > The house was big with plenty of space for all. > Nice orangery, perfect for hanging out in the evening with drinks and entertainment on the huge screen. > Communication with the owner was very good prior and during our stay. > Check-in and check-out process was very easy. > Wifi was good. Negatives: > Was charged £45 from deposit for damage to a plug socket that occurred prior to our arrival. > No response from the owner at all to several messages reference the deposit. > There were several other items of damage throughout the house (that we were not blamed for) although nothing that caused us any issue. > A moth infestation throughout the property. Inconvenient rather than serious issue but don't go here if you hate moths! > The huge entertainment area in the orangery was let down by no TV connection to the big screen! Bring an Amazon Fire stick or Chromecast if you want to watch TV. > Beware the projector is very weak and as per instruction you really can't see anything on the screen at all until it gets dark outside. > We were asked to strip our own beds and transport used linen to the scullery which we thought was cheeky for somewhere charging so much per night.
