The property is well located for anyone wishing, like us to walk the Winchcombe Way. Also only a short walk to the pub / restaurant for dinner. Although compact, No61 had all we needed and the owner Alex clearly gone out of her way to provide a welcoming atmosphere.

Alex was an incredible hostess. The cottage was really cozy and had high end linens and appliances. I loved the wood burning oven.

This property was exceptional and in a very good location to visit the Cotswolds. A stroll to local amenities but we decided to drive to local restaurants and pubs which was less than 3 mins, as we had a friend who is unable to walk that far. The cottage was perfect for 3 adults and had everything you could need to feel like home from home.
The tv did not have access to Netflix which would have been ideal for our nights in by the log burner.

We had a wonderful stay at No.61. The cottage is really lovely and perfect for a stay no matter what time of year. In the autumn/winter there is a cosy log burner and in the spring/summer a very nice garden and outdoor dining area. Alex, the host, is very professional and friendly - we asked a few questions and received a response almost immediately. Alex also provides really lovely touches in the cottage, like the personalised mugs, a message on the blackboard and a welcome hamper, which make it a real home from home. The cottage itself has absolutely everything you need for a comfortable stay, and it is decorated really beautifully. We used the cottage as a base to explore lots of nearby towns and villages, including Stow on the Wold, Bourton on the Water, Snowshill, Chipping Campden and Bibury - all of which are within half hour of the cottage. Winchcombe itself is a lovely place, you can walk to the high street within 5 minutes and explore lots of independent shops, restaurants and pubs. We ate in the Plaisterers Arms and also had a takeaway from the Indian restaurant, both of which were really good. We aren't hikers ourselves but saw lots walking through the village, so expect it is a great place for that as well. We really recommend a visit to Sudeley Castle, which is approx 15 minute walk from the cottage, and a very interesting place to spend a good few hours. I would definitely recommend No.61 and would love to visit again in the future!

Lovely little cottage, ideally placed for getting to Cheltenham, Gloucester and the Cotswolds (and Winchcombe itself is also an attractive town with shops and pubs within walking distance, plus a steam railway). Alex was in communication regularly before and after the stay, and provided a helpful guide to the house.
There was off-street parking at the rear of the house, and the cottage itself was nicely finished with a new-looking kitchen (with dishwasher, oven/hob, coffee maker and large number of items/utensils) and a new-looking bathroom downstairs, cosy living room with a wood burner (which we didn't use as the house was warm) and a pleasant garden (which we didn't have chance to use, but had a metal table and chairs).
The bedroom had a king sized bed which was comfy, and there was a dressing table and mirror available in the second bedroom. All rooms in the house were clean. Alex also provided some nice little personal touches on arrival which were appreciated.
No real complaints. Owing to space constraints, there isn't a full size dining table, but there is a fold-out breakfast bar in the kitchen which is fine for two, but probably no more (there is a table and chairs in the garden if the weather is warmer).
The bathroom was nice, but on the ground floor (this was mentioned on the house profile, so not a surprise). Taller people might also want to watch their head on the stairs. These are typical of an older house, though, so just part of the charm.

It was self catering and the location was ideal including the off road parking. Local shops ,pubs and tea shops all within 10mins walking distance along with Sudeley Castle (about 20 mins) and many more short walks.
There was nothing really not to like about 61 Winchcombe, thats why we would consider making another stay there.

This was a lovely cottage in a great location. Nice restaurants in Winchcombe are a short walk and it is quick and easy to get to other Cotswold towns.

Gorgeous little cottage with a lovely space outback for sitting out at night with a glass of wine and a BBQ. Comes with its own off road parking too which was good. Lots of walking routes that start from Winchcombe begin from a short distance away. Also close to all amenities.
There was nothing we didn’t like about this place. The bathroom is downstairs which wasn’t an issue for us, but might be for some people? We would definitely stay here again if we looked to holiday in area again.

It was really clean, with high spec facilities, and very comfortable. A good location too, walking distance to the high street and bus stops. The host, Alex, was really helpful and left clear and comprehensive instructions. We were greeted with a lovely welcome basket, and also pre ordered a breakfast hamper which was a nice treat. I'd definitely recommend it.
It was an excellent cottage so it's hard to think of anything that I didn't like.

What an absolutely beautiful cottage full of character and charm! We don’t know where to begin to describe how lovely this place is! It’s compact but so cozy! Alex the host should really get an award for the personal touches, attention to detail ,and absolute charm she’s put into the cottage. We didn’t personally meet her because of the COVID restrictions, but she really makes you feel so welcome. She is constantly available by phone and is so warm and helpful. From leaving a complimentary hamper including wine and fudge; to welcoming you by name on a blackboard on the wall , and leaving mugs to use with your initials on, just lovely! Cozy log burner and complimentary logs too! Right in the heart of Winchcombe amongst lovely old pubs and beautiful scenery. Right on the doorstep to the Cotswolds Way , so many walks to take and beautiful Sudeley Castle within walking distance. Our stay was just perfect and we couldn’t recommend it more!
Absolutely nothing!
