Expensive but very ok, I would book cheaper next time

Location is great just such a pity that the food options in and outside are so limited and poor quality.

Location is great. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Elevator was very dirty. Room was comfortable and clean.

Food was very below par. Very few options for kids. Hamburgers were very undercooked and had to be sent back. Inedible. Second portion was not much better. Not the kind of quality you would expect from a five star hotel. Tomatoe soup tasted like it came out of a tin. Very disappointing!

Pool area to small for size of hotel The mould on breakfast rolls The service very inadequate for 5 star hotel Especially in restaurants. Serve a bottle of water minus glasses. Bedroom service not replacing used coffee pods or clean the cups. The mattresses are very hot.

Nice stay - outstanding location

We had a good stay with my family. Great facilities, perfect location, we overall all enjoyed it. The check-in was however a bit long, and we have been waiting for too long to get a lift to go upstairs, as one lift seemed to be out or order.

Teenage dreams are made of this sort of stay

I had to put a colleague/friend from Kenya and her daughter plus a friend in here because some work on my home had overrun. We booked two nights and the hotel were very helpful in extending for another two. The two girls were absolutely thrilled to be in such a fine hotel and loved their stay as did my colleague. The staff were incredibly helpful when I needed to extend twice plus letting me use the lounge to take a work call. Would definitely use again.

Location, large rooms.

The property looks tired, in need of renovation. The pool/spa area is embarrassing, steam room not working, sauna not hot. The reception staff members I dealt with were arrogant and unhelpful, not professional. I have been coming to Huis ter Duin for a very long time, always lived coming here but it’s now time for renovations and updates.

the staff were exceptional with no exceptions!

the breakers restaurant was horrendous, the terrace just ok for the high prices. The gym could do with some free weights and new mats etc. i know this os being worked on.

Big Thanks to Hotel Staff

The Hotel staff were friendly specially Mr. Amr of the night shift who gave me full idea of the hotel and the area, the check-in/out staff as well. I enjoyed the stay, thanks to the prime location directly on the beach and walking distance to the shops around.

Very friendly staff in the hotel. Location of course is also terrific.

First room was situated next to the elevator. This was quite annoying as the elevator was constantly making a weird noise when passing by. It got so annoying that we had to switch rooms.

wonderful experience

Fantastic place to stay by the beach. It was our wedding anniversary - a welcome card was left in our room and the dressing up of our breakfast table was very touching. An easy place to stay with the most incredible views.

The terrace bar was closed at 9pm - however we were able to take drinks outside to enjoy the evening view.

Great location & hotel but not on Grand Hotel level (except price)

Great location, spacious suite, old school style but nice ambience. Breakers restaurant and food at the terrace very good.

Every (little) extra is being charged, i.e. towels for the beach, sunbeds, no refill of minibar free of charge. Breakfast way too expensive for ambience and offered variety. Indoor pool area needs definitely renovation. Friendly mess of staff doesn’t live up to Grand Hotel expectations.

The stay was good but the price not justifiable. Will not go back again.

The location, the restaurants and the overall look of the hotel.

Highly overpriced hotel without offering anything that a standard 4-star, and even good 3-star hotel cannot offer. For example, the room and especially the bathroom was visibly old with the bathroom not even having an electricity socket!!! The bike rental did not have a good selection of bikes so very limited choice of bikes were available.

Booked room last-minute to escape the heat for the day/night with kid and dog.

Friendly, attentive staff. Well-appointed room. Dog-friendly. Air conditioning worked very well. Pull-out sofa bed was nice for our kid. BLT Restaurant was nice for dinner and watching the sunset.

Our room was next to the elevators, which were unusually loud. They sounded like they needed maintenance.

Luxury Hotel adjacent to the beach

The beach house restaurant (Breakers) was closed for a private function on Saturday night, we walked down there to eat & found this out , would have been nice to have been notified in advance. PARKING CHARGE - 99% of the guests arrive by car but you have to pay 17.5 euros a day for the first 4 nights ? rip off Great Breakfast but 35 euros per person - Excessive I felt i should have made a packed lunch in order to get some value! Were english & enjoy a cup of tea but the cups provided are for a shot of coffee, asked at reception for mugs but they offered nothing - so at a 5 star hotel we had to go out & buy two mugs - ridiculous

Staff was great.

There was a big party planned for the people in the town. Noisy and drunk people everywhere, while we came for a quiet getaway. Staff was told not to mention it to the the guests staying at the hotel. Resulting in no sleep and moving a 1 year old baby to another floor. Very bad experience, but the hotel is nice if there is not a big party planned..

Out stay was fantastic and everything was like expected or more - we will definitely be back!

One of the most famous 5 star hotels in the Netherlands 🇳🇱 where famous guests (Presidents, Sporters, Rock Stars etc.) have stayed. Last weekend we had the chance to stay in this phenomenal and luxury place and enjoyed it to the max. Great atmosphere, Service like you expect in such an hotel en large and clean rooms.

The rooms might need a little upgrade - it is a little outdated.

in general, great stay with lots of nice memories and experience around the area

the view, even we were not able to get the beach view, still was nice rooftop room with the city view, and the breakfast view to ocean was great. perfect parking. nice bar. great michelin restaurant. the soa was kind a ok, but needs renovation and more choices.

all was ok. spa mentioned in likes, but needs modernization/improvements. got upset, when my wife asked if we can stay 1h longer than checkout rules, as she needed to solve some her issues, and the guy was kinda strict and unpleasant.
