The setting is superb and the house is welcoming and comfortable with an authentic charm. The owners, Carol and Mike, were the perfect hosts serving delicious breakfasts and providing everything that is needed to make the stay special.

Everything. The manor stands in its own ground so it is quiet. It's also close enough to the town to walk and visit the pubs. Rylstone manor is beautiful inside and out with a wealth of history. The owners carol and Mike are lovely. They showed a genuine interest in us and we had some good conversations. Mike is a most accomplished cook of wonderful tasty breakfasts. Would have liked a longer stay.

lovely location and homely feel. owner’s lovely really comfortable bed and great breakfasts cooked to order.
shower pressure was not great and the temperature was hard to regulate. so had baths instead
