Appartement 3 pièces, Krutenau, Parking privé

Apartment is located near the university and had everything we needed. Pretty quiet street, and one bedroom faces the interior courtyard. The other bedroom has a small desk, if someone needs laptop space. Good wifi. Well-equipped but small kitchen. Kitchen table barely fits 4. Great shower. Appreciated the washing machine.

We were traveling with bicycles and were surprised that the safe and secure bike storage meant just leaving them outside in the enclosed courtyard shared by 14 or so apartments (2 buildings). We locked our bikes and nothing happened. But it's not what we were expecting. Only as we were searching for a regular trash can as we were leaving did we discover a room to the side of the individual parking garages with a bike inside. Could we have used that? Or did we risk finding it locked with our bikes inside? Bringing the bikes into the apartment wasn't an option -- up just one flight, but stairs are steep and the actual steps were narrow. To get into the building, we first had to call a phone number. We thought we'd be given a code but it automatically unlocked the door to the street. Then we were supposed to do it again for the door to our building. And only by the apartment door was there the lock box with keys. At least we never had to call after that. Some information on what to do with trash, French composting rules etc would have been helpful. Don't assume we all know! Information on supermarkets and other tips would have been nice as well as well as anything we needed to do ahead of check-out. Small thing, but too many clocks ticking in the apartment! Unnecessary and extra noise at night.

The apartment is located close to the university with many conveniences close by, including good public transport. The private parking made our trip very easy to plan. The apartment is in general well-equipped and communication with the host is clear and fluid.

The lighting in some of the rooms is too dim which wasn't ideal given the grey, rainy days during our stay. We found the beds too soft, but that's a personal opinion.

Amazing location. Comfortable apartment.

Beds were a little small for tall people.
