Location walking accessible to many shops and nice walks
The property needs a deep clean. The kitchen floor and carpets were not clean I cleaned the floor and hovered up on the day we arrived not a good start to our holiday. The radiators are brown with muck and grease you could right your name on them. Also the shower is not fit for purpose no pressure at all to rinse your self never mind get shampoo/ conditioner out of your hair. The bathroom taps have no grip almost impossible to turn. Plenty pots pans utensils and microwave and fridge/freezer.

Lovely building. Own carspace right outside. Top location. Quiet neighbourhood.
All boxes ticked inside the property - a bit tired, though..... needs a good decorator !

The location was great in the centre of Ambleside, and was very clean on arrival
The style of the property is a bit dated, and is probably reflected in the price. However the main issue was the shower was very poor and this would be the single reason I would not return, I do note there is a bath but this is not always convenient

Location very good we have also stayed in juniper in the past.
Back yard to let dog out would be a bonus.

Great location and ideal as a base if you like the mountains
nothing really it met all expectations - it isn’t by far expensive so I didn’t expect luxury

Fabulous location, walkable into the centre of Ambleside and to the lake. Pet friendly which is a must have for us.
It had all of the appliances you need for a self catering stay.
The property was a little dated in some areas and could do with a little bit of tlc. The small single bed had seen better days and could do with being replaced in the near future.

Great location within the lakes, comfortable, clear information on most aspects of the property.
Situated near to a busy road, somewhat old fashioned furnishing, no frying pan

Love the location and coziness of the little rustic cottage. Great kitchen facilities as well- it has anything you need including things like a cafetière, grater, peeler, assortment of pots and pans etc. The instructions for how to use everything in the house were the clearest I've ever seen. It also has a nice big bath tub for a soak after strenuous hiking. Can't fault it, and the free parking out front is a grand bonus.
I really enjoyed the cottage, it had everything needed. Sure there were a few spiders, but it's autumn in the lake district- that's to be expected! They're in everyone's home at this time of year! Someone also commented on the water pressure, but again I found it to be normal. No downsides at all for me!

It contained everything you needed to make it a real home away from home. The information on everything from heating to using the washer dryer and the little touches of tea coffee and milk left next to the kettle and there being a lamp on for my arrival.
Nothing

The place Is very well equipped, we had everything we needed.
Location is fantastic as well.
The ground floor was damp and a little bit smelly (even with open windows).
This is most probably coming from the carpet, which wasn’t nice to step on.

Cosy, very central, all the amenities needed for a stay in the Lakes.
An extra loo roll would have been nice!

The property was ideally located for Ambleside village which we did find handy.
The property is dated (fittings) old fashioned sofa and chairs(not comfy) decor is very bland, the electric fire needs relocating as being underneath the tv is a potential safety hazard.
The bathroom had some issues of cleanliness, the shower screen has mould in the rubber strip, don’t think the mounting plate had been cleaned for a while, I had to clean before we used, the toilet didn’t look like it had been cleaned properly either lots of dust about in there skirtings were very dusty.
Kitchen - The mugs were chipped and not a set of 4. The oven dish is chipped, and plastic glasses are not what you expect for a 4 star establishment, there were not a matching set of 4 glasses.
There was only 1 toilet roll, and 1 bin bag for a 1 week stay considering what I paid to stay you would think these would be included.
There is a strong smell of damp in the under stairs cupboard too.
There was dust upstairs and cobwebs in the wardrobe.

Overall I would stay again, having a assigned car park right outside was a bonus, parking is otherwise limited in Ambleside itself.
There was a background smell of wet dog throughout the stay, it was not bad enough to be a real problem, although noticeable. Having the carpets washed/cleaned would make a big difference as the carpets are the main source of the smell.
Although the cups and glasses were clean, the kitchen cupboards are very musty, putting everything in the dishwasher while wiping out and airing the cupboards would make a big difference.
Also the tv reception was not great, made it difficult to watch any channel, but I was not there to watch tv so again was not worried.
