Keen outdoor explorers can enjoy a plethora of scenic walks beginning from Waterhead Pier, just less than a mile away. Those looking for tranquillity can stroll through Rothay Park, half a mile away, over the stepping stones and along to Rydal Water and Caves, 2.5 miles away, a lovely route with plenty of picnic spots.
