The cottage had everything we wanted and was the perfect size for our group of 5 and 2 dogs. 5 minutes walk to the park and head of Windermere, 5 minutes walk into town with all the shops one would expect and many dog friendly places to eat. Beds and bedding were clean and very comfortable, plenty of towels, great showers and loads of hot water. Heating was very efficient and cosy, we had a mild week of weather, no rain and had to turn down the heating. We will book again for another autumn visit.
Carpets are tired in the sitting room and look grubby. I can hardly complain though as a dog owner. Dining chairs are too old, springs have gone and one required cushions to be comfortable. The vacuum cleaner is not efficient, trying to clean carpet prior to leaving was pointless.

Perfect location. All rooms are very spacious, bigger than from photos. Very well equipped kitchen. Great for staying in when it rains. Big bedroom and bathroom downstairs to the side of the house is perfect for elderly or couple with dog.
Would be great if there are spare toilet rolls.
Not sure if it’s Cumbria Council rule but a pity that no separate recycling bin.

There were flies in the kitchen and lounge, we tried using spray but it didn’t get rid of them.

Large rooms, warm, everything you needed was there. Good location, quiet, nice views. Had two parking spaces and roadside parking opposite the property or the car park about 10 yards away

From the moment we got there we felt home from home. The cottage was absolutely spotless and had everything and more that we could have possibly needed. George rang us before check in time to say it was ready and I know would have been on hand if there were any problems. The beds were the comfiest I have ever stayed in and the bedding was gorgeous . There was 6 of us during our stay and we had so much room, we would have still been fine with 8! During our week, the weather was absolutely shocking so we made the most of our beautiful cottage and have made many fantastic memories. I can’t recommend this place enough. We will definitely be booking again.

Perfect location for walking and touring in the Lake District. The cottage was well appointed, warm and comfortable. Beds were amazing and all facilities worked well.
Whilst we totally understand that adjustments need to be made for covid 19 reasons, it would have been nice to have some basics like cooking oil, S&P, tea, coffee and some milk left for us.

Good location
Our cottage had been doubled booked. we had just moved in and another family arrived and said they had booked the same week this was very upsetting for us as we were uncertain whether we would have to move out. We later found out that if they had got there first we would have lost our holiday how could this have happened?

It felt like home straight away. With a balcony AND a patio there was plenty of room for the kids to play and eat. Ideally situated between Ambleside town and the lake for boat trips. Couldn’t have asked for more

Really nice house, everything you need and only a short walk to town. Their were just the two of us in a 4 bed house, so we had more than enough room. With only one combined living room/dining room I think it may have been a bit of a stretch if you were at max occupancy. Perfect for us though and would definitely stay again.
Nothing really.
