Enjoyed our stay and will be booking again.

Excellent central position in Ambleside, only a short walk to the shops, restaurants and bars, ideal for our annual Ambleside family gathering. The house was lovely and warm for our arrival, found all we needed in the kitchen to prep, cook and eat the meals we had. (Bit short on wine glasses and pints) Bedrooms were large and the beds were very comfortable and clean. Nice having the car parking passes.

Only a few picky points that would have made the difference. I’d seen in previous comments about the drooping dining room curtains, I sorted them out while waiting for the girls to get ready to go out 🤭. Also stopped the dishwasher from rocking when the door was opened. It also needs 2 wheels to go on the bottom basket to replace the missing ones. Lounge, stairs and landings carpet could do with a clean. Kitchen chairs need a couple of screws and the others tightened, a bulb in the lamp on top floor landing. Would have been nice to have something to light and burn I’n the log burner, just enough for the first night. All that said I’ll be booking again for next January.

Great central location in Ambleside, very comfortable stay.

Really lovely three storey traditional town house. Lots of room for six people. Good kitchen, which was well equipped.

Having to retrieve the key from the office prior to our stay. A key safe would be more effective.

Perfect space for anything you’re looking for.

Location was perfect and the space wasn’t cramped. Plenty of space for the 8 of us and everything was clean and tidy

The fridge space is tiny for the size of the property and the size of the party we had. Managed, but was a bit of squeeze. Remote control still missing and also the lamp doesn’t work! We tried everything to get it working. Even bought a fuse. Was the ongoing joke of the week

A first-rate property and location.

Very well-equipped kitchen. Smart TV. Outside yard ideal for the dog. Good WiFi. Efficient heating and hot water system. Comfy beds. Lovely bathrooms. Great location. Parking permit in house for the street. Prompt assistance from maintenance team when one of the curtain rails fell down. Collection and drop off of keys was easy.

We had a wonderful time in Ambleside. Would definitely visit again and stay at this property.

The house is in a great location for the local town and for some great walks. The house was clean and comfortable and the kitchen was well equipped.

There wasn’t anything I didn’t like. Maybe only downside is there’s only one parking permit for outside the property.

Great location and lovely house, but let down by some basics

The location was great with easy walk into Ambleside. Good space for our family and comfortable beds with clean linen and towels.

There was no soap in the bathrooms which is a very basic thing which should have been provided. There was no washing up liquid, no toaster (this was delivered later in the day), microwave didn’t work which we noticed as a comment in the visitor book from a month previous. There were quite a few cobwebs around the property as well.

Good location but average cottage

Great location to visit places around like Lake windermere. Lots of restaurants, pubs, supermarkets around.

A bit disappointed as some basics were missing, pictures show handwashes in bathrooms, there were no handwashes provided. No toiletries in the bathroom or kitchen rolls. Curtains were falling off while closing and opening them. Microwave was new but doesnt work or heat food. Contacted property to report but no one got back to us. No clear instructions on parking as there were none left for us to park around.

The Heatherley was great and the location in Ambleside was perfect for walks and shops in town.

The property was great for a family of 7 it was just right with lovely rooms and good bathroom and showers. Something we needed after the long walks. The kitchen was well equipped and the ability to wash all our clothiers should was great.

Nothing we loved all of it.
