DISAPPOINTED
Location is fantastic. Central for most things in the village
My 2nd visit to Bulmers cottage for a short break. Granted you expect some dust as it is a long burner. Cobwebs plenty, dust plenty in the corners.

Lovely short break after the summer rush. Beautiful location and great value for money.
The location in Staithes was lovely, tucked away in a quiet yard. It is a short walk to shops and the beach with multiple options for places to eat in the village. A great location to get out and explore the local area being only 20 minutes from Whitby with other lovely villages and coves nearby.
Staithes has no parking for visitors so requires a walk up a steep hill to get to the car park. not a problem if you are fit, but could be an issue for people with mobility problems.

Enjoyed the stsy just disappointed in the detail. Cleanliness mainly.
Cottage was quaint and comfortable. Everything we needed was provided.
Cleanliness. Dusty, bath stained, shower curtain needs replacing, stained at the bottom. Looked grubby. Behind toilet not cleaned, Whole property needs a thorough clean in all the corners and a good dust.

Rustic cottage surpasses expectations
We loved our stay from start to finish and couldn't recommend this cottage enough. The cottage was beautiful, very rustic and traditional. The owners had gone above and beyond with making sure everything you needed was in the cottage. There were nice little touches such as deck chairs for the beach, complimentary shampoos and soaps, prosecco on arrival with ginger biscuits etc. All the cutlery, crockery and cooking equipment that you could need, a cosy coal fire in the living area. 2 bedrooms that were very comfy and a good sized bathroom with a bath. The location was stunning and quaint, with breathtaking views around the cottage. We didn't see the owners but we were given all the information we needed about local bars, restaurants and places to visit in the visitors pack. The cottage was very clean and well looked after, we had no issues in the 3 nights we were there.
No dining table, due to the size of the kitchen and living room (it was still a nice size), however smaller tables were provided for you to eat your meals in the cottage. The seagulls working 24/7 to squark in unison! 😂

Great location. Nice cottage.
The bloody seagulls. Bad luck the younger ones were out in force too as noise was insane at night. Nothing to do with the lovely cottage but argh. And I spend a lot of time at the coast.

Great location, pretty cottage and value for money.
Location was perfect as we were walking sections of the Cleveland Way. Easy access to path from Staithes and also easy access to bus from top of road. Cottage very sweet and homely, beds extremely comfortable. The host was great - we had a power cut and she got an electrician to us really swiftly and it was a Sunday.
The cottage was cold. There are night storage heaters but they gave out heat from the early hours of the morning but if you are out during the day , as we were, it was cold by the time we got back. We used the throws in the sitting room as blankets for the beds! It might be useful if blankets were provided.
