About this apartment rental
The apartment (30 m 2) is on the 2nd Floor (without elevator) of a palazzo that belonged to the famous Cavalcanti family in the Middle Ages. The building is now a listed building and has only recently been restored. The living space is optimally divided: spacious sleeping area with double bed, cozy, fully equipped cooking and dining area and bathroom with shower. The lovingly chosen furnishings, the terracotta floor and the antique wooden ceiling give the studio an authentic Florentine atmosphere. At the same time, the apartment has every modern convenience: air conditioning, Wi-Fi, TV, dishwasher and washing machine.
The extremely central location offers the ideal starting point for conquering the city. Just a few steps, just around the corner, and you are in the middle of Piazza della Signoria. Sit down for a cappuccino in the Café Rivoire, admire the Loggia dei Lanzi, the Palazzo Vecchio - while you are making plans for the new day of your vacation. Could you start with a visit to the Uffizi Gallery, which, like most of the city's sights, is within walking distance of the apartment? Or they stroll through the surrounding streets, get some luck at the bronze 'Porcellino' fountain and walk over the Ponte Vecchio to the characteristic Oltrarno district, where they still work over the shoulder of the Florentine artisans in traditional 'Botteghe' can look.

Apartment was very clean. Location was excellent. It is close to an outdoor leather market and there is lots of shopping and restaurants just outside the door. The Uffizi, Accademia, Santa Maria Cathedral and Point Vecchio all within a 5-15 minute walk from apartment. The host welcomed us in person and was very responsive to questions. Would definitely stay here again.

I loved this place. I would move here. Everything is close and people are friendly. The restaurants in the area are wonderful and reasonable priced. The host we so kind, walked us through everything and included recommendations on things to see and food to try. I would also recommend taking a pasta making class through Chefactory. It’s a 20 minute walk from the apartment but worth it.

It's an awesome place to stay. Your description does not give it justice. It should state that this apartment is merely steps from one of the most beautiful plazas in Florence. Very centrally located.

We stayed in the Lorena apartment for five days in early Dec 2015 as part of our month in Italy for our 25th wedding anniversary. We had booked into the smaller apartment (Caterina) but were upgraded at no extra cost into Lorena when the guest in Caterina extended their stay. Regine met us at the apartment, helped us up the 60 or so stairs with our luggage and provided us a lot of useful information which assisted us in our stay. The location was very central with easy access to all the sights of Firenze – we counted the paces to Piazza della Signoria – 38 in total – it is genuinely just around the corner. The central nature of the location allowed fantastic access to all Firenze has to offer and we were able to walk everywhere – the central markets (eat in the upstairs food gallery), Accadmie, Uffizi, Ponte Vecchio etc. – from this apartment you don’t need to catch a bus or a train to get anywhere in the city. It was a joy to simply roam through the streets of Firenze soaking up the atmosphere and then find a little wine bar in which to recuperate. However there is significant activity in the streets around the apartment late at night and into the early hours of the morning – after our first night we shifted into the back bedroom which was a lot quieter. While we loved the location and the ease of access to Firenze from the apartment, the street noise may be an issue for people who sleep lightly – the stairs would rule out the apartment for those with mobility issues.
