Absolutely terrible experience – BEWARE

Location (near a beach), otherwise terrible listing

I booked this property at 11:30pm the night before, which should not have been an issue since the listing was available. Instead, the host complained about my booking time - why allow it if you don’t want it!? The “cleaning fee” is outrageous, especially since the host just does it herself and does a terrible job. The pictures don’t even match what you’re actually given. The deposit method is beyond sketchy: you’re expected to hand over cash and then supposedly wait for a wire transfer back a week later. The apartment was poorly equipped, and the host was shockingly rude and condescending throughout. I’m a super low-maintenance guest and have stayed all over the world without issues, yet this property truly made me question how it has any positive reviews at all. Avoid at all costs.

Highly recommend

The apartment was spacious, clean and had all the essentials we needed. We really felt we were at home here. Marieta, the host, went out of her way to get the pool opened early at our request and a blind fixed in our bedroom. Nothing was too much trouble and she was very helpful. We liked the quiet location, there wasn't any noise at night so it was ideal for two young children to get their sleep!

We had a wonderful stay in Marieta's apartment!! A hospitable personal welcome, two bottles of wine, a clean house with everything you need and a beautiful large terrace with a stunning view of the sea and (part of) the harbor. The apartment is located near the pleasant boulevard and VillaYoiosa center is also within walking distance. Marieta is super service-oriented, we would love to come back here again... highly recommended!!!

An oven (but we knew that in advance from the description), there is a microwave.

99.9 % fantastic. I would visit again. Villajoyosa (La Vila) is a nice town with eveything you need

The sea view was fantastic from the huge sized balcony. There was everything we needed in the apartment. The local beach & restaurant are hidden gems, well wort a visit & only around 50m away which is very clean & tidy, slightly stony but not overcrowded at all & with lifeguards. The sea was wonderful. The walk to the main beach area is lovely, plenty of places to eat & to see the pastel-coloured houses. The owner was very friendly & helpful. She kept us updated with information. All the other guests/neighbours were polite & there is no noise at night-time. Super-fast WIFI, excellent multi-TV channels & a very clean place to stay. All in all, absolutely perfect.

The gate, access step & ramp at the back of the apartment complex was a little difficult pushing an elderly man in a wheelchair. I believe if you visit using a car, then there is a lift from the underneath car park, up to each floor which can then be used for swimming pool access as well as to the apartment levels, but we arrived in a taxi. We managed well & everyone helped us in & out when we needed it, even passers-by. A supermarket stop on the way from the airport is recommended if any guests have reduced mobility & do not have a car.

If you don’t like the hustle and bustle of Benidorm then Villajoyosa is a great choice.

The property was not quite ready for our arrival as the host had problems with the previous guests however she had worked hard to get things sorted for us.

Good location, perfect organisation of the information we needed and excellent rooms with all you need. The balcony was huge and a great spot to rest or have lunch/ dinner. The pool was also very clean and was never overcrowded.

The beach nearby had pebbles not sand; we didn’t expect that. Sandy beach was a long walk away and wasn’t at an ideal distance.

Fabuleux avec terrasse magnifique

L'appartement est situé dans une résidence très agréable, moderne au calme à 100m de la plage. Il est très confortable, fonctionnel et le balcon est un vrai plus, très grand avec une très belle vue sur la mer et la piscine. L'hôte, Marieta, vous facilite votre arrivée et vous explique tout très bien. Le plus, pour ceux qui arrivent en voiture, un parking souterrain avec une place réservée

Pas grand chose au final. Peut être l'éloignement des cajas colores, l'attraction de Vilajoiosa mais cela donne l'occasion d'une belle balade par le port et la plage du centre
