Hilton Garden Inn Munich City West

It has an excellent location. I loved the breakfast and liked the staff (they are really helpful and friendly).

Once the receptionist could actually attend to us (after a clueless family finally finished checking in), she was very professional and friendly despite the hassle with the previous guests. The receptionist at checkout was equally friendly and typically Bavarian-jovial. Breakfast was nice. The nearby train station and big street was surprisingly okay at night, and we could sleep despite being light sleepers.

For a 4-star hotel, the room could have had a more modern shower (eg bigger showerhead). The double bed was 140cm (queensize), which is cosy for two adult people. Service at breakfast was close to nonexistent. The one guy we spoke to spoke only English and still didn‘t understand what I asked him. Our room on the first floor was directly above the staff break area, so it was at times loud and smoke could be smelled. There was also some construction work at the trains early on Sunday - with loud noise for about 10 mins altogether (not the hotel‘s fault, but apparently something that might happen every now and again.)

The shower area did not have enough blockage of water with glass partition which resulted mostly the water out of the shower area making the bathroom wet.

Shower area…. Very badly designed. Water splashes everywhere when we shower. Either they should put a curtain or glass door.
