The only good thing about this place is the view.

The rooms were decent, but absolutely not worth the price. There were a lot of mosquitoes in the room. There aren't a lot of facilities. For the price, I won't recommend it to anyone.

Overall good, but a bit pricey

The view from the terraces/balconies is awesome, with the lake and mountains. Breakfast was okay. The room was nice, spacious... Also the bathroom.

Even though it's overall okay, feels a bit pricey. Also bit scary to arrive late at night with all the curves. It's very high up the hill... I think it's only possible by car.

Disappointing and overpriced

The view great from the restaurant balcony but that’s pretty much all I can say. There are no working lifts so you’re hauling your luggage upstairs yourself, the breakfast is poor and the staff were not particularly friendly. We would not stay here and would not recommend it.

1 night near a beautiful lake

Very beautiful view

- we weren't informed, when booking the hotel, that there would be a live band in the hotel. They started at 7:30 PM and they went on till midnight. Then there was a cleanup and the (loud) guests started to leave. Impossible to sleep before 1 AM. We would never have booked this if we had known. - many mosquitoes in the room - very large spider in the bathroom - for what we received the room was way overpriced

Lovely hotel on top of a mountain

The Platten Weg hotel was up at the top of a mountain with all the views of Schwzyn Kanto and there were boat trips to cross on the other part also. The room had everything and the employees were really nice.

The hotel is a bit secluded up on the mountain, therefore having a private car is essential.

Budget room pretty small, no views, outlook to carpark with a very annoying resident driver with one of these stupid roaring cars (Subaru) leaving at 5:20am one day, and around 6:15 other days!

Like: location excellent! Love it!! Would love to return. The room with balcony small but balcony large excellent. Views breath taken!! Martha the host very helpful. Answer all my questions. Breakfast, very good. Dislike: Breakfast, very good but in busiest times runned out of eggs, they missed topping up. The bed/mattress too soft and pillows very uncomfortable. ( room with large balcony) number 11 I also stayed in the room 15 ( large room without balcony) mattress was firmer and pillows were better.

Amazing view!

The view from this place is just stunning! I came to Switzerland to see the beauty of the country side and this place just shows it all! Nice walk down a supermarket and lake (20 mins), great views from the pool and the gentleman who works in the restaurant went above and beyond for us giving us the fan from the kitchen for my baby to sleep with as it was hot for the time we were staying there!

The staff (Marta) was extremely supportive and made our stay very comfortable! The view from the room, esp. the room with the balcony was just breathtaking!

The only public transport access to the hotel is through a bus that runs between 10am and 4:45pm, making it difficult to get to the hotel if you arrive later than 4:45pm (about 40-45 mins uphill walk, with inconsistent internet connection, making navigation a bit difficult).
