Last resort bed without breakfast

Well located for ferry, train and bus connections. Also close to old town center.

One bed had no bottom sheet, only a threadbare mattress cover.

Skip it unless you’re desperate

The old school elevator was really cool to ride in, and the host makes getting in and out very easy with a combination lock to enter.

It reeked of cigarette smoke being right across from the smoking room. The shower was missing a panel for the door so water goes everywhere, and the air conditioning was vented to the inside of the room, which is a safety issue. There was no conditioner for your hair or eating utensils in the shared kitchen area. I ate my dinner with my bare hands and a coffee stir stick.

The room was steamy hot. They plugged-in a mobile airco (thank god) but the thing was unsufficient to get the room on a comfortable temperature.

Trieste was an unexpected delight

Because we arrived by bus before the check-in time at B&B Porto Vecchio, our hosts arranged for us to stay at Residence Adria. The instructions for self check-in were clear and our room was comfortable with everything we needed. There was even a lift to take us and our suitcases to the first floor. We arrived on a Sunday and there was a flea market happening in the historic centre of Trieste. Lots of stalls and lots of fun. The next day we took the HopOn/HopOff bus to see the sights and stopped for an hour or so at Miramare castle. Well worth a visit.

Acceptable place to stay for a good price in a great location.

Good location, great value for money. Comfortable beds in a good-sized room, mostly clean. Kitchen facilities were fine (fridge, microwave and tables).

Staff were sometimes slow to respond to requests such as soap (there was none when we arrived) or clean sheets. No breakfast was offered, despite the name (B&B means "bed and breakfast").

The room was not at all clean, there is a lot of dust under the beds that probably hasn't been cleaned in years. There was light coming in with sunrise as the blinds were broken.

Far from perfect, but still nice

The room was clean and in a nice location, close to the center. The shower was modern and spacious. The host agreed upon a different check-in time from the one stated on Booking, which was kind of her.

The room was really tiny, with no outside view and on a different street from the one written on Booking.com, where it's impossible to park nearby. There weren't any toiletries except for the hand soap, just one bedside table, no plugs in the bathroom so I had to dry my hair looking at the wall over the desk in the bedroom. The walls are really thin, we could hear someone watching the TV in another room. There is no cell service and no Wi-Fi, which is a real bummer when you're using your rest time to plan what to do in the city next.

Yelena, the young manager, was truely worth gold. She was friendly and so helpful and sweet to my daughter.

The blinds were old, didn’t cover the windows completely and were making hard noise in the wind.

La posizione è comoda accanto alla stazione Centrale Di Trieste, anche se di fronte alla stazione sostano diverse persone poco raccomandabili, ma abbiamo trovato molte forze dell'ordine e comunque ci siamo sentite sicure. L'host ha accolto la nostra richiesta di check in anticipato e anche di cambio data (abbiamo dovuto spostare di un giorno per cancellazione del nostro treno causa sciopero). La strada ovviamente è trafficata e rumorosa (dovendo anche tenere la finestra aperta per il condizionatore movibile). Il letto comodissimo, la stanza spaziosa. Disponibile anche una macchinetta del caffè e un bollitore, oltre al frigo per tenere le bevande. Soddisfatta!

forse il fatto che il bagno, anche se privato, si trovasse fuori dalla stanza (ma proprio di fronte) ed era senza chiave, però non c'erano altri viaggiatori in giro, quindi è stato OK

Beim Eingang der Zutritt ins alte große Mehrparteienhaus kompliziert. Die "Empfangsdame" sprach NICHT EIN WORT DEUTSCH ODER ENGLISCH. Es gab weder Seife noch Duschgel. Gläser bekamen wir erst nach mehrmaliger Bitte. Das Bad im Einzelzimmer war nicht gereinigt. Die Betten wurden nicht gemacht...
