Overall, it was a lovely stay and we would be happy to come back.

The location was excellent, just a short walk from the city center, and having a private parking garage was very convenient. The host family was incredibly kind, always ready to help, and made us feel very welcome. We also truly enjoyed the breakfasts, which made each morning a great start to the day.

The only downside was the poor sound insulation.

Really lovely - definitely recommend!

We had a lovely stay at Vila Gjoni. Our host was super welcoming and friendly and made us feel right at home. The room was spotless and smelt really nice. The location was good and the host sent us a full list of recommendations for various things in the area and further afield. Breakfast was €5 per person and was really lovely, great view from the rooftop terrace. Parking was easy in a private garage below the property and the host helped us reverse in.

Center location and as quiet as can be Saranda. Stayed only one night. Liked also breakfast and garage parking. Big room.

Incredible stay at a family run hotel!

We stayed at Vila Gjoni for a couple of days with some friends and what to say… we felt at home since the moment we arrived. We were welcomed from the friendly staff, the family who runs the hotel, which also lives in the property. They immediately recommended us the best beaches and restaurants for our stay. The room was basic but just what we needed, and it had a sea view! The cleanliness and attention to detail exceeded our expectations. Towels and bedsheets were changed everyday, which nowadays is not to be taken for granted in hotels! The breakfast is served on their beautiful rooftop terrace every morning and includes local homemade treats prepared by the aunt of the family, fresh fruit as well as the classics of a continental breakfast (milk, cereals, bread, jam, etc). On the day that we left we were the only ones staying and since we really liked a feta pastry that they made, they made extra for us to take away because we had a long trip back home…this is what I mean when I say attention to detail and feeling at home! The location is just perfect as it’s just a 4/5 minute walk from the center but it’s very quiet, ideal for someone who wants to relax! The property has a private parking as well, it can be a bit tricky but the dad will always help you if you’re not good at parking.

Excellent stay in Sarande.

Everything. The staff were excellent. Family run and you felt like Family when you were in their company. Even down to remedies for bites, raki, cream and an aloe vera leaf. Bedding and towels changed every day. Balcony room was great or sit on the upstairs terrace of an evening. Breakfast was a treat. Home made bread and pastries. Beautiful terrace overlooking the sea. Bit of a walk up from the promenade but nothing to complain about. Definitely a must in Sarande if you like traditional. Great area for getting to the bus station and straight down to the promenade.

More than just an accomodation :) 10/10 is not enough

If there was a bigger number than 10, i'd use it to evaluate Vila Gjoni. The rooms are spacious, full of light, new, with a nice balcony and an outdoor sofa, and they get cleaned every day. Same thing for blankets and towels: changed everyday, even our clothes were folded and gently put on our beds. We loved having breakfast everyday in their beautiful terrace, enjoying a huge variety of homemade food, both continental and traditional. The amount of food was always more than enough, so sometimes we even had a packed lunch for the day. Also: we are vegetarian, and as soon as they knew that, they made sure to always have different options on the table. We really appreciated it! The position is good, only 5 minutes away (on foot) to the Promenade, the restaurants and bars and Sarande public beach. Kejsi is beyond kindness: always smiling, sweet and smart, she took care of every single little detail of our staying, and she gave us useful tips and advices to enjoy Sarande e Ksamil. I would recommend this place 100% to any person who's visiting Sarande, because it offers something more than a simple accomodation.

Home-like stay with beautiful rooftop terrace

Extremely lovely small hotel with very sweet staff who made you feel like home. The breakfast is served on rooftop terrace (where you can also hang out in the evening) where you have beautiful views over the city and to the sea. The breakfast was rich and we especially liked the home-made pastries. It’s also a very good option if you have the car, because they have secured garage, so you don’t have to leave your car on a narrow street.

Perfect!

It was an exceptional stay. It's a small hotel run by an extremely nice and helpful family who takes care of you in every possible way and makes sure you're feeling comfortable all the time. The rooms are modern, spacious and very well equipped. We had a room with a large balcony with a sea view which was amazing. Breakfasts here are really good and there's really plenty to choose from. Also - they are served on an outside, beautiful terrace located on the fourth floor - (seaview included) - simply WOW. If you want to later cook something by yourself, or just make yourself something to drink - there's very well equipped kitchen there. The villa is located just about 200 meters from the beach. There's a bit of uphill walk, but we didn't mind. The most amazing part about Villa Gjoni is a customer service. We felt like we're in a five star hotel, with rooms cleaned every day (even though we never asked for it), fresh towels, and a friendly atmosphere. So far it was our best stay EVER, and if we ever come to Saranda again, and I hope we will - we are definitely going to stay there again. We are really, really grateful.

Well, Wi-Fi could have been better - but it looks like the whole town has this problem. I just bought a Vodafone sim card with over 20GB of data for 1600 LEK. It worked well but can be a bit unstable in the evening as well, when a lot of people are online.

Disappointing

It was clean, breakfast was good.

We booked for DOUBLE AND SEA VIEW room but instead we get twin beds together which was uncomfortable for a couple. We said this to the staff and she said we can change the room to double but we won’t get a sea view. Why do they selling this way then? Also first day open buffet was closed before 10 which I specifically asked previous night! They prepare for us to the table but you couldn’t have more because there was no open buffet. I definitely don’t recommend.

Nice place with friendly and helpful owners. Private parking in garage! Very nice room with sea view balcony. Terrace on top floor with great views where breakfast was served. Just a few minutes hike down to board walk.

Comfortable, convenient, brilliant

Our host was extremely helpful and accommodating. The breakfast exceeded our wildest imagination, we were only able to eat like one fifth of it. The views from both the balcony and the freely accessible terrace are gorgeous! We slept best in this vila than any other accommodation in Albania so far, bed is very comfortable. We made last minute booking and arrived by car without reserving a parking. The host was so kind to take their car out so that we can park in. Also, google maps led us to another vila nearby and the host came to our rescue, guided us to correct building :)

Just a suggestion: maybe they can put up a sign indicating the direction to the property on the uphill street.

Buona scelta per un soggiorno a Saranda!

La camera è molto carina. Ha la vista sul mare. Peccato che la nostra camera non avesse il terrazzino (le altre camere della struttura ce l’hanno). La posizione è perfetta, super centrale. Il centro, il lungo mare, bar e ristoranti sono tutti raggiungibili a piedi. Hanno un parcheggio gratuito per la macchina e un terrazzo all’ultimo piano molto bello dove fare colazione e godersi il tramonto (probabilmente il punto più forte della struttura insieme alla posizione). La colazione è abbondante e buona. L’aria condizionata funzionava bene e la pulizia era buona. Ottima accoglienza. La ragazza è stata molto carina e flessibile con l’orario di check-in.

Il wifi non funzionava bene. Venendo da un paese europeo, non avevo internet e quindi sarebbe stato utile un wifi che funzionasse meglio! In bagno non c’è il box doccia, il che rende farsi la doccia un po’ scomodo ma comunque era okay. Il soffione era mezzo rotto purtroppo! Per il resto tutto bene.
