Hotel Star is a centrally located hotel with great service, rooms, breakfast and great value.

Excellent on all accounts and great value. The owner takes personal care of you even though it is a good size hotel. The breakfast was great considering the varied tastes of the international guests.

The location is great, very convenient, but quiet. The owners are very friendly and considerate, everywhere is cleaned properly. They upgraded us to a room with a kitchen. It was spacious enough for three people with large balcony. The shower works well and there are no problems with sewer smells. Albanian style enough breakfast.

We loved the host! he was amazing, we got to check in early and we got a room at 9:30 am which was very helpful. the room was cleaned every day and great balcony aswell as a very yummy free breakfast each morning!

I had the pleasure of staying at Hotel Star in Saranda, and I can wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable and relaxing stay on the Albanian Riviera. The hotel is modern, exceptionally clean, and very well maintained. The rooms are spacious, well-equipped, and many offer beautiful views—especially those with balconies facing the sea. What truly sets this place apart is the host. He is incredibly friendly, helpful, and genuinely dedicated to making guests feel at home. From the moment we arrived, we felt warmly welcomed. The host Orest was always ready to share local tips, recommend great restaurants, and suggest interesting places to visit in the area. Hotel Star is a fantastic choice for both short getaways and longer holidays. The location is ideal—close to the beach and city center, yet peaceful and quiet. If you're looking for a place with a welcoming atmosphere, high comfort standards, and excellent service, Hotel Star is a perfect pick.

The location is great, very close to everything. The room was spacious and comfortable, with everything impeccably clean. However, what truly stood out was the friendliness with which we were welcomed; the staff was always attentive and concerned about our well-being.

Well kept, and clean. Easy access to beach, shops, city centre. Very friendly, helpful and welcoming staffs. Good breakfast and they were willing to provide as much as you need, very caring. We enjoyed our stay here.

A M A Z I N G H O L Y D A Y

Lovely hotel, 100% comfy, location amazing just 3min walking from the main high street, beach and all restaurant and shop. 10min walk from the ferry port to the hotel. Clean and modern room, big amd variety breakfast and the staff was A M A Z I N G. My boyfriend and I spend a full week there and for sure we ll back next summer. Everything was PERFECT😊

Room was not clean when we came in, flip flops from former guest were still in the bathroom. Bed was not comfortable. When using the shower, the whole bathroom gets wet because the lack of a door or shower curtain. Also, toilet seat doesn’t fit, so prepare to slide of the seat.

Good location. Very clean and shiny room. Beds are comfortable. The room is spacious and was cleaning everyday. Balcony is big enough and has a good view of city. Breakfast is good. And the staff is perfect. They all are friendly, helpful and cordial. You feel like home.

The parking is in front of the hotel and they will make room for your car if needed, our room was upgraded and had sea view, was very spacious and the bathroom was really good. Breakfast is varied and the staff is sympathetic.

The towels could have more softener and the receptionists are not always there. On our second night there we ran out of hot water during the shower.

Really nice hotel with over the top receptionists

the hotel was really arrangeant as we booked at 11pm to arrive at 3am the next morning. It allowed us to not sleep in the streets as our plans were changed. The rooms were really nice, we should have booked our entire stay in this hotel !

Very clean, large rooms with a wonderful location in Sarande. Wonderful breakfast.

The hotel offers free parking right in front of the building. The location is great within Sarande as it is just a few streets above the sea. You can easily walk down to the main pedestrian area of Sarande by taking the stairs located right by the hotel. The rooms were large and had been recently remodeled and were very clean! They also offer a homemade breakfast downstairs in the morning. All of the staff was very friendly. They do ask to be paid in cash though, so just be prepared for to do so.

It was low season, so apart from one girl who checked us in, cleaned our room and cooked our breakfast we saw very few people.She was lovely. The person who booked our taxi to the port ask his friend to take us to the port.He tried to charge us 1000lek for a 300 lek trip. The hot water was unreliable.

Sarande is what you hope your Riviera vacation will be

Sarande is a small, seaside town wrapped around its harbor on the Ionian Sea. It is delightful in late September-early October. Heat is reduced and crowds have gone home to wherever. The Star Hotel is perfect location near the main downtown streets, near the bus terminal (maybe 200 meters from the exit), down a few flights of steps to the waterfront. Aldo, the owner, and his cousin, who runs the kitchen and dining room, are lovely and happy. He is great talker in English and probably other languages. She is lovely and will rope in some English speaker to help you get an answer to whatever you were asking (e.g. I asked how she made the delicious puff pastries at breakfast. She grabbed a guy and he said something about the process and then said if I really wanted to find out go help them in the morning.) I had a balcony which was great for sitting and slugging down a half liter Korca beer and drying clothes on a line. More on the bus. If you want to visit Butrint, a UNESCO World History site, or Ksamil beach which is where many tanned, young folks spend time, you find the bus at the "terminal" which is the area where all the busses congregate. There's no terminal building as such.
